As a longtime cat owner I'd suggest you get at least one more litter box. Even though you are keeping up cleaning the one you have ideally you should have more. Hopefully that will cut down or completely eliminate them relieving themselves outside the box.

Welcome to the kitty club! Cat people are the best 😊 Actually I’m a dog lover too but living in a city apartment cats are easier. I suggest getting a wand chaser toy with multiple attachments. My 12 yo tabby still plays like a kitten and goes crazy for the sparkle pom pom and feather attachments. Your cat family is so adorable. ❤

Our cat used to puke everywhere, either out of a malicious desire for us to suffer while we cleaned it up or because she ate too fast. But we started giving her the squeezy broth treats once per day in the morning and we continue to indulge her begging for them because she stopped puking so often. So maybe the extra moisture in her diet helped, or she stopped eating her other food so fast, or she likes it so much she doesn't want to puke maliciously anymore.

Once I saw a vet saying that the correct number of litter box is the number of cats you have in the house plus 1. So, in theory, if you have four cats you should have 5 litter box

You may be okay with the bookshelves. None of my cats have really bothered books on shelves - Christmas lights and electrical lights are another story (!) - but when he was little, my black cat liked to go up to my current reading pile and pull out the bookmarks one by one. So helpful! BTW, I love the name Clawdia. :-)

The kittens just get cuter and cuter! Love the names! Be careful if you bring lilacs in. There is a common variety (which can still cause gastrointestinal upset) and one is Persian lilacs which are toxic. Lilies, poinsettia, etc. all bad news if ingested.

I’ve read that you should have at least one litter box per cat or one more than the number of cats you have. I have two cats, three boxes. I change them at least twice a day too but this way they never feel it’s not clean enough and look for new places around the house to go.

You'll have to see if a favorite develops. Amongst my kitties, Annie adores a very specific pink mouse (she hides it from her sister), Luke loves the green springs (only the green), Leia LOVES her knitted shrimps, & Evvie... she is obsessed with the red dot. Her butt wiggles so hard as soon as she sees the pointer. Doggy toys are a big fav too. Annie has a pink pig and Evvie has a purple spider. They are their emotional support pets LoL

Clawdia's personality totally resembles my cat's. The cutest prettiest kitty with the soul of a dragon. A quite despotic empress dragon. The tower of balls is a favorite here, as certified by the aforementioned cat and her knight (my other cat, a chunky boy).

Heads up, if you get cat pee spray (we usually get nature's miracle but idk if it's available in Canada), works great as it's meant, but if they pee on something that can go in the washing machine, add a couple good splashes of it along with the usual soap, if they pee a LOT you may still need to do two rounds in the washer, but it totally gets the smell out, possibly the best cat thing I've learned lol In our case we were out of town, and had friends watching the pets, and in between the last time they were by and when we got home one cat locked the other in our bedroom 🙄😆

They are too freaking cute! Btw, if you haven't already, you may want to anchor that cat tree to the wall or floor. I just anchored mine recently after I heard about a cat being hurt when it fell on top of them. My cat has knocked his down a couple times before I anchored it to the wall.

The cats are sooo cute!! My cats favourite is a box where I cut a lot smallish holes in so they can stick there paws through it and then they can play with eachother through the walls of the box. Zo in your box when one cat is in there they can see another one walking passed and start playing. Or when you hold a little toy from the other side near a whole. Watch out for claws because they will get nuts

The kittens have grown so big! Play fighting is perfectly normal at this age, it helps them learn what is too rough. If they get possessive of a toy to the point of actual fighting you’ll need to take the toy away. Pear only wanting to lay in the bed if there’s a box she can sleep in makes me think she may have had a bad experience that she associates with blankets and bed sheets.
