I watched every minute of this! So don’t ever think it’s too long!! Those of us that LOVE your voice and style will hang on every second! I have never been into dark and moody, until you came along! I’d love to get back up to hickory again, and I’ll visit the booth- I worked in hickory with Bayada nurses and loved it- I lived in granite falls and MISS IT so bad

I’m new, this is the 2nd video I’ve viewed of yours. I did stay until the end because I love numbers. Loved all of your creative pieces especially the frames, I have frames-LOTS of frames. I smiled big because of your encouraging pep talk. I want to KZbin but planning and follow through are my weaknesses. I’ve been a booth owner for about 5 years and I have never made as much money as you spoke of. I have lost A LOT of money with this hobby, it truly has been a social experiment for me and my therapist suggested it as a way to get me out of isolation so in that aspect it has been worth it. Thank you for sharing your gift and craft and thank you for the much needed encouragement. ❤

The "flimsy" towels look like flour sack dish towels. They are exceptional for drying glasses! They are the only kind I knew growing up in 60s. I still have at least one that my mom embroidered when she was a child in the 30s. They also would be good for stamping words on for embellishments as they are a little thinner than drop cloth

I love that last cloche! Really cute idea's Sharon. And I so appreciate you actually going through your profits with your booth & perfect timing for me. I work full time & it's great that you are sharing the realities of what it takes to not only create & source your items but also how much time it takes to maintain your booth. This may not be viable for me yet ( as I inquired just yesterday at a place & they start at $200 & take 16% ) but I'll keep watching as I love your creativity & your positivity and encouragement!!!!. Again really appreciate you Sharon taking the time to share all this with your audience.

@@CozyJunkStudio Yes there's another place I looked at a few years ago & they started at $98 for their glass cases(have no idea if they have shelves or cases)but again thank you for the advise as I wouldn't of known to even inquire about something that small. Appreciate your feedback!!

Right, in Colorado, these are everywhere, but the starting prices are crazy insane! We have the Armadillo Antique mall which is the size of a Walmart and then we have small places that just say Antique! I have purchased so many of my favorite pieces of art and furniture from one in Northglenn, Colorado on Melody drive. I know that if I go in there, I am leaving with something! LOL 😆

@@YayasWhimsicalBrush Yes it was the Brass Armadillo Antique mall & it's kind of big (& not in the best area) that the glass cases are in that charged $98. That was in 2019 so probably has gone up. That's where I first started buying DIY paint. But I like Sharon's idea of seeing if you can just rent a shelf or hutch as I too never thought of that & I don't have much more than that right now anyway.

Long time crafter/DIYER. I have always loved repurposing items. I finally rented a booth at an Antique Mall 4 mo. ago and it has been a little challenging to get it set up in my small space. I also work at an Antique Mall in another town.. LOL! So it has helped me to see what is selling. Yes, framed art sells well here also. I love that I can also have a mix of altered and vintage items. I love to make signs and sew pillows and bowl fillers. Something for everyone, small to big is always good to have. TYFS I love all your ideas very similar to my taste. I used to do vendor shows but age and health has made it difficult, so thinking about a booth is intriguing! I love display and possibly I could partner with someone! I'd think a tin pie pan might possibly work in a pinch to melt the wax on the warmer. Then afterwards, if need be, you can toss it out. That way you wouldn't ruin 1 of your pots. Just an idea. Or even a soup can or such. Just make sure to use something to protect your fingers/hands when picking it up! Craft On! & Have A Blessed Day!

The problem I’ve had with all the TEMU canvas prints I’ve purchased they have all been cut too short, every single time

Most of the Temu prints I cut to fit 8x10 frames or Use a larger framed and put a Mat around them. Temu needs to get the measurements together, but they haven't yet.

I appreciate your videos and inspirations on your creative projects. Plus, sharing information concerning your booth, helpful for people that are looking to start. I have a full-time job and have a booth. I like the idea of your mystery bag. If you don’t mind me asking and I know it’s a mystery, but what kind of items do you put in your bag? 😊

Btw, I really appreciate the transparency on your booth profits....I have a small showcase right now of smalls that I have upcycled/made, but I'm on the fence about getting a larger booth. It is over twice as much "rent" and I'm concerned about making enough for it to be sustainable. You've given a lot of good information! Thank you!

Would be okay with me if it was an hour and 40 minutes. Getting some great ideas! I love your booth! I should have known you were a North Carolina girl! NC is home to me! I would love to browse your booth. I am relatively new to your channel, so I don’t know if you have done this, but I would love to know more about the mystery bags and what you put in them, if you are willing to give that info. Sharon, I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for making this for us and please make more like this. I think you are amazing. Waiting for more…….

I found your video today and started writing during your candle segment, before I finished watching. From what I understand about candle pouring, you need to melt the wax very slowly on low to prevent the sinking effect. I’m not sure why that causes it, but maybe something to try next time. The information you shared about your booth was very informative. Thank you. I REALLY need to be more motivated to work on product for my booth but sometimes it feels overwhelming and I tend to overthink things too long. 😂

Very informative! I'm still trying to figure out what I can do on a youtube channel. I crochet, I make Christmas ornaments I make gifts for family and friends, but it takes me forever. I just don't think I can create enough to keep people interested.
@CozyJunkStudio
@CozyJunkStudio 6 ай бұрын
Although things take you forever you still could do a YT channel. Film sections of the project or multi projects and release in a series: Part 1, Part 2, etc. People love that stuff too. During those you could show items you have already make as a sample of what the items will look like in the last episode. Showing people how to do something, talking about resources, the best type of material to use for Crochet, ets. Those are just a few ideas. Thank you so much for watching!

Don't disparage real flour sack towels. They are wonderful and what I use exclusively in my kitchen. They are light weight, thin, very absorbent, lint free, wash well, and have multiple uses. I use them like cheese cloth when I need a fine strainer.

What kind of glue and spray are you using? You're the only one I've seen using it so far, and it would greatly help even though I'm just an at home crafter. Also, why didn't you use Fabritac glue instead of the glue gun to seal the edges of your bookmakers? I love that glue, but I don't like the gumminess on your fingers from it. The other night I had dry chalk paint on my fingers then that glue on top and even washing my hands I still had a mess on my hands.

@CozyJunkStudio 6 ай бұрын
Great questions, thank you! Either will work, the fabric tac is perfect, but I was getting ready to take my photos for the video and didn't want to have wet glue on the fabric. When I first used the FabriTac on them I let them dry over night. This time, I didn't have time for it to dry. The glue is a super glue with a spray that instantly activates the glue to dry immediately and hold immediately. Here is the link on Amazon: amzn.to/3VhQrzX

I just found you today and I'm a fan. I love buying cheap old things that are different or rare that aren't seen much and repurpose them. I do have a problem of gathering and not getting rid of stuff once I make it. Basically because I'm scared that no one will want it. I guess I just need to take the plunge and try selling. I do have a question though. How many ready to sell items do you keep in your inventory that is just ready to grab and put in your booth? Or do you just make as you need in reference to your sales? Thanks so much for your video and can't wait for the next one.

WELCOME!!! You are so welcome! I keep at least 10 Mystery Bags extra plus about 10 in my booth. My paper packs I keep about 10-20 extra. The framed prints about the same. The new items in this video is all I made so far, if they sell well, I will do the same and keep about 10 of each on hand in inventory. If you can't do that start with 5 extra of each. Thank you for the question and for watching!
