Hi Sharon, this is the 4th video today that I've been watching from your library. I just love how you transform things. All of the ornaments and shelf sitters are beautiful. That Santa though, that you put on the round box is absolutely stunning. The transfer alone just made that box into a whole other look. Then when you added everything else and the knob, WOW I wish it were mine. I can't praise you enough for the talent you display. Thank you, thank you for all that you do. Love that santa jar! One little thing I would have done was to add a bit of brighter red to the berries around before adding white for snow paint affect. Before the white goes on. Maybe adds extra dimension.

Your ability to create items that take on a vintage look, using the gold gilding wax, is making me rethink my vintage creations. Everything was interesting listening to how you do what you do. I really loved the Santa bottle and your woodland houses. I liked the ornaments you did and loved the ribbon you had, but feel it took away from the woodland decals. Jmo. I'm not sure if adding the ribbon to the top of the ornament on the string might have been better. Either way, you have a charm at what you create. Tysmfs!!

I loved this video! I have those exact wooden ball ornaments and have put those transfers on them! I got a bunch of them last year from Dollarama here in Nova Scotia. They haven't put out all their Christmas products yet, so I haven't seen them yet this year. Fingers crossed!

I love all of these but I think the Santa bottle is my favorite. It reminds me of mercury glass. I too LOVE trying new things. I'm going to try this on some jars I have. I'm wondering if after applying the metallic colors to the outside, if you spritz with water, would it give it more of a mercury glass look? I'm going to try it ❤❤ thanks for the inspiration ❤

I love all of these projects! Do you know how thick the ornament blanks are? I have some similar wood blanks that are 2mm thick, but I feel like they might be too flimsy…are the round ones better?

They are very thin, but did well under paint and pressure! You can always glue several together. I think the next ones I do will be at least two glued together for thickness! Thank you for the question!

No, I made them from my own moulds. However, I do see people on Etsy and Ebay who sell pre-made moulds. I have done videos showing how to do moulds, so I just skipped making them on camera this time. Thank you for the question!

Honestly, I do figure the costs and I keep in mind what I might pay for something if I really want it. I am a thrifter and make my own crafts but I do buy things that aren't handmade and I try to think what it might be worth to me. As the ornaments are small and only $1.00 per pack and the transfers are 50c each. I did only price them $3.95 each. Probably at a craft fair I would have priced them $4.95 or $5.95. But since I have a booth and they are seasonal I priced them to sell.

GOOD LUCK finding ANYTHING IOD, as its already sold out & I looked in online at every independent sellers listed....the ones left are the Fairy ones and its ok, but to me its just not worth what the sellers charge, Id imagine its the only thing left bc its not super Christmasy. Almost every upcycler has used these transfers in their videos and they sold out pretty fast as far as I can tell. At this point, Im sure theyre not refilling stock, its just too close to Christmas. Im surprised IOD didnt stock up their retailers ESP where theyre pushed SO heavily on YT. But also, again they are very pretty, but not the most affordable, esp for very small sellers....Its over $30 each item, some are even almost $40....to grab a mould or two and each transfer book, plus shipping...youre looking at over $100! JUST for Christmas designs that wont get used again til next yr =/ And then, next yr theyll one out with a different new design EVERYONE will push on YT...and on it goes, lol! I just wish every junk upcycler didnt use the same expensive products. It used to be that upcyclers UPCYCLED bc it was an affordable way to upcycle cheap junk you can get at the thrift shop and add some paint or embellishments that you had or found at thrift. Now its expensive paint, expensive molds, expensive transfers and its a bummer. Ive said this before and it just gets worse. Its just a bummer that it seems like creativity is dependent on whether you have the new, latest thing from an expensive line (IOD, Dixie Bell, DIY, Fusion paint, etc...). ESP with chnls that started out small and humble, now its product after product Im not sure theyre getting paid to push, it just changes the whole purpose of UPCYCLE

Thank you for your feedback. I have other videos that I don't use expensive products in. I do both. I love IOD products and my channel showcases more affordable supplies and higher end supplies. A lot of people who buy the IOD products use them over and over to make items to sell. I do the same, the breakdown of what money can be made off of the products is way more than the cost of the products. Such as one mould might be $30 but a reseller could use it one time on a piece of furniture and make their money back immediately then they have the mould for free to use over and over to make more money. The transfers break down to about 50cents to $1.00 each, which is cheaper than dollar tree. It really depends on how the purchaser uses the product. If I were just buying these to make my own home decor or crafts it probably wouldn't be worth it. But every IOD product I buy makes its money back with one or two items that I sell. I will continue to make videos and my own projects with cheap supplies and expensive supplies. Hopefully the cheap supply videos will help out for people who don't want to invest in the more expensive supplies. Thank you again for the feedback and watching!
