Hip Hop was started in 1973. A After school party organized by Cindy Campbell and her brother Kool DJ Herc. Hip Hop turns 50 next year. It has given me and the world so much. I just haven't written it yet... but anyway that makes me a witch for sure! )

Might wanna keep that on the DL when Supreme Court Justices are scrounging through 16th century tomes to justify their modern rulings, before you know it those neighbours are cackling at you... burning on a pyre. But in all seriousness, grats on escaping. I can't imagine how hard that must be coming from a country that left most of the stringent religious values behind in the 50's.

"Yo Leroy" was a sample from the Bestie Boys song "Hold It Now, Hit It". kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXOTf4Bsp8qciKc Who was the group in the ad? Was that The Fat Boys? Or maybe a parody of them? Other great moments in Hip-Hop that should have been mentioned include: - The first time LL Kool J rocked the bells - The time Roxanne stood up three guys at the beach - The time Cosmo D pulled out his 12 inch cut called "Disco Kriptonite" when Superman came to town to see who he could rock. There are so many more.
