Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland holds a news conference in Milton, Ont., to highlight funding from the latest federal budget in community sports programs. She is joined by Marci Ien, the minister of women and gender equality and youth, Adam van Koeverden, the parliamentary secretary to the minister of sport and physical activity, and Gordon Krantz, the mayor of Milton.
Minister Freeland faces questions from the press on her government’s implementation of a digital services tax, which adds a three per cent levy on foreign tech companies that generate revenue from Canadian users.
