Hi Victoria! I just want to say your review course for CPC exam helped me to be much more confident sitting for the exam. I took the online exam Dec. 22 and 23 and got the result today. I received the best Christmas gift of passing the exam on first attempt! I just want to let you know that I have watched most of your videos and they were all helpful! Continue to be an inspiration to aspirant coders and for coders like me to stay motivated and keep on coding on! Merry Christmas! ✌🏻

Hello fellow coders! I took an online CPC course through AAPC. I learned a lot but my teacher never really did a breakdown of all the guidelines. No matter how many times I read the paragraphs of guidelines, nothing stuck because of the way they're worded. Victoria helped break down the most important guidelines for each chapter & omg it made a world of difference! I had never used KZbin as a study method before & I was super nervous because I had found this channel only a few days before the second half of the online exam and the first half did NOT go well. I'll just say that cramming by watching this channel was MUCH better than cramming with the practice exams repeatedly. I ended up passing my 2nd attempt (thank GOD!) and the only thing I did differently was watch these videos. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone trying to pass the CPC exam. Take notes in your books by the guidelines as you go. Believe me, you will thank yourself! Also, if you don't pass it, keep trying! Don't give up. If I can do it, anyone can :)

Hello Victoria. Thank you so much for doing this video! While I do now hold an associates degree as a medical coder, my instructor was unfortunately not very helpful. I basically taught myself. That leaves me to wonder what information I’m missing. I found this video to be incredibly helpful! It really helped to clear up some grey areas. I am looking forward to the other videos in the series.

Question: I graduated from College in 2009 with a working certificate in medical billing and coding. My professor that taught the class is also head over the coding department at our hospital. She told us that what she was teaching us wasn’t enough to pass the state exam because the course was too hard so they took out anatomy 👀. Sure enough the exam looked like pig Latin. I’ve got a good grasp on medical terminology and basic anatomy. The exam I took asked for the agencies that headed up different departments. All that was mentioned was AHIMA, the difference between hospital and clinical coding. For our externship we went to the hospital and coded. The md3 coder was easy. My question 🙋🏼♀️ is how do you start working from home coding as a beginner? I don’t want to ruin my reputation because I’ll certainly be slower than seasoned coders. Doctors in our area use hand helds to do their own coding or have teamed with large companies. I don’t want to scrap this education which was an add on to my clerk typist certification before I had children and no one knew how to type. I was successful in secretarial administration but that was the late 80’s early 90’s. Help Anyone 😇

There are thousands of code changes since 2018. I guess it depends on when you're taking the exam, though. You'll want current books for the exam so if you want to use 2018 to study until you test in 2022 and get new books then, it's up to you.
