communication between pilot and ATC can be done today via DATA LINK . for this, you should have the system and approval to use it .
first, you have to LOG ON to the ATC secctor, usually 15 minutes before entering. send a request to the 4 letter secctor designator. in this video, its Maastricht EDYY ...
you can get ATC instructions, radio frequency changes and general information 💁‍♀️.

Computer shows your tail number 4X-ICB . Now your most obsessed fan (and we all know who that is) can track you on Flightradar24 and FlightAware.

Bruh every his cockpit video literally has a tail number. It's a sticker next to the nd display, either 4x-ica or 4x-icb.

Absolutely fascinating to be able to contact ATC in this manner and receive instructions. Thank you for showing how you make contact with Maastricht EDYY (looked it up) air navigation service for ATC above 24,500’ over Belgium as you seemed to have a destination of Liege. I hope I understood that all correctly. Nice, informative information on this video from the best pilot ever. 💕U😎 עכשיו ולתמיד ,הייתי חולף על פני כל טייס בעולם הזה כדי להגיע אליך הטייס הכי מתוק שלי אי פעם.

So please answer me this, I'm an enroute air traffic controller at a Center who uses CPDLC 24/7 in the U.S.. When I add a fix / waypoint / or lat &long into the route, usually between present position and the second or third fix coming up, the message is poorly worded and it's nearly gotten me into trouble because the pilot misread the clearance and turned incorrectly. For example I want the aircraft that's now direct to VHP direct BKW to now be direct IIU201014 direct BKW. What the pilot sees after I send the new route via CPDLC reads on F.M.S. : CLEARED TO BKW VIA ROUTE CLEARANCE. FREE TEXT REST OF ROUTE UNCHANGED. FREE TEXT -------------------- CLEARED TO BKW VIA IIU201014 BKW. -------------------- RESPONSE 0027Z-------------- ----------------------- CONTINUED-------------------- Admittedly, that is very poorly worded and some pilots get it right and some don't but either way, I assume they'll get it wrong so it doesn't allow another aircraft to nearly lose IFR separation with adjacent aircraft same altitude as nearly happened before. I've learned a lot since then. Question is, is there two different ways to implement this clearance like I believe? Misread and push button for direct BKW (happens often) or another button that simply implements exactly what I sent and whether it was misread or not, my intentions are being executed. In the past, I have also inserted a lat/long into the flight plan and the pilot said it took them a couple of minutes because they had to create a fix for that lat/long? Did I make more work for the flight crew above and beyond simply pushing a button to implement this clearance? I think that was their way of covering their delay in implementing my clearance after possibly misreading the clearance the first time or two. Thanks for any input.

(Falcon 900/2000EX pilot here). Yes there are two ways to implement a clearance depending on the equipment installed. If the plane has the push-to-load feature, the data in the ROUTE CLEARANCE field (not the free text field) is directly inserted into the waypoint list. On a plane without push-to-load, I would manually modify my route based on that clearance by inserting IIU/201/014 before BKW, then DIRECT to the IIU/201/014 waypoint. The 'direct' is implied and I understand the clearance as transmitted, if other pilots don't then they are not reading the message properly.

Hi, about RCP240 and it mentions about Max Uplink Delay which is given when aircraft is logon to an ATC via CPDLC. I know some aircraft are RCP240 equipped. When I see this video, the ATC gave a Max Uplink Delay of 300 seconds. The question is why 300 seconds? Isn’t the aircraft having a maximum transaction time of 240 seconds? If the uplink delay is 300 seconds, won’t it defeat the purpose of 240s of RCP240?

I read recently some 747 software is still programmed with floppy disk 😂 much sadness that all our passenger 74's currently being retired, these aircraft could fly for years to come but economics & this pandemic has sealed their fate... Only way to fly 747 is with Captain Boeing! 👍😊

BIG BIG QUESTION. GETTING INTO NAT-HLA AIRSPACE WITH ADS-B ONLY ONBOARD AIRCRAFT, DO I NEED TO COMMUNICATE FULL STANDARD POSITION REPORT? OR JUST DE DATA LINK PHRASEOLOGY? EXAMPLE: GANDER RADIO: N123 SELCAL CHECK, ICELAND NEXT
@llaughridge
@llaughridge Жыл бұрын
Now, you cannot go into NAT-HLA DLM airspace at all without datalink. Back when you asked the question, the answer would have been that you need to do the full standard position report.
