Great video as always! I witnessed something similar to the mountain tortoise story. A few years ago a huge stellagama stellio fell into my pool. It was freezing when i took it out it must have been in there for a few hours. I put it under the sun and after 30 minutes it took off into the trees. I was amazed since they are from very dry habitats and don't really encounter lakes etc. in the wild.

Another important thing to mention and know about tortoises that goes along with being able to survive long periods without water ....(that I believe I actually learned from you, *duh*, but wasn’t mentioned this time) is that certain species (in particular desert dwellers) are able to store water and utilize that to get through periods of drought- AND *IMPORTANT PART* that’s why no one should EVER handle/pick up/ stress out tortoises in the wild because they are prone to void that water supply that is very vital to their survival when water is scarce otherwise. Aka- don’t handle wild tortoises, admire from a distance ;)

The over 120 Jear old tortoise of a friends grand ma ( She got it from her grand ma :-) ) still drowns after a heavy rain while she just got in to winter sleep. That was sad, whe all had so much fun with her. The best thing was the day a hedgehog was going in to her tunnel, the hedgehoog was running out a realy fast tortoise behind him chasing him, after a while we heard the hedgehog screaming. The tortoise was biting one sting after the other off, till she got to the flesh.

Hey Kenan! Great video once again! And we love seeing Kate! So awhile ago your friend, not sure if it was Fred or not, had a tortoise who was really sick and in a huge shed with a heating pad/lamp and I think a tube in his nose...it was a while ago so it’s not fresh in my memory. Anyways did that big fella make it ok or did he pass over the golden rainbow bridge to tortoise happy land?

Just my opinion - take or leave it. The format of this show is not going in a good direction. The center of attention is becoming awfully domestic. Let this continue to be about the animals. Truthfully, I really don't care how your marriage is going.
@TheBlaze2675 жыл бұрын
Me personally i'll leave it. And when reading comments i think others would agree. His marriage is not taking center stage on the videos its a welcoming addition. When he's doing a video and his family joins and is helping, asking question. learning it just verifies what he's trying to do educate the world on these fantastic animals.
