Its nice to see a feel-good story. If humans can't be kind to each other, we should at least be kind to animals.

I think it was Columbus one of the dingus’ who first started recklessly catching and killing these things. He caught like 300 of them when he was passing and then I think they weren’t viable food anymore, and he just dumped them or he and his crew at them all or just shot them for sport and nearly drove them to extinction with his visit

If you ever get the chance to go to the Galapagos, truly love and admire the beauty and wonder of the islands. My family and myself are Ecuadorians and I was lucky thankfully to visit the islands at least once and you can't fathom what wonders youll ever find there. I am definitely happy I even got to see the Tortoises before and even share some Guava that is grown normally in their habitats.

6 20 20 Hey stormbreaker91476, Lucky for you & your family! The swimming iguanas seem pretty cool. The geology of the islands is interesting too. I couldn't imagine what it took to get there in the 1800's! The Straits of Magellan, from what I've read, is pretty treacherous. Stay safe, keep calm, & be well. v
