I´m happy to see this information because there are so many youtubers out there that use "NEW ANIMALS" every video I see, of course for attracting more views, and that´s not what it supposed to be about. Keep it up.

"animals deserve more than a glass box" SO TRUE! I got my first 2 ball pythons in october last year and I tried very hard to create a natural environment for them! Their entire back wall is made from (faux) plants that they actually climb into and behind. There's real plants as well, their hides our hollow tree trunks, there's real antlers (cleaned) in there and even their water dish is in the form of a leaf. I enjoy this way more than a boring vivarium, it's very beautiful to look at. But I also really think it enriched my snakes their lifes, seeing as they came from a plastic tub. They really do use all their hides and enjoy to climb unto things when they're in their active period.

my tiny ball python of 10 months is so spoiled, has a giant enclosure with hides, foliage and climbing areas and a daily choice to come out at 22:00 and explore with me as spotter. always takes meals, never scared of swallowing with a passion while people are busy around him, comes to say hi when spoken to after a while... i think that is all the result of a happy noodle

I had built a 6’x4’ x4’ enclosure it is bioactive. I have a bearded dragon and a plated lizard and two Russian torts in it, it surprised me how well they all do together. I had watched your video with rhino iguanas and turtles cohabiting together and thought why not with my animals. I did have them all in separate enclosures but my shy plated lizard would hide all the time and not come out to eat, I had read that plated lizards and bearded dragons gets along, so I put the plated lizard in with my beardie and bam she started eating and doing much better on her shyness. So now sense they all are cohabiting together I’ve noticed my beardie isn’t lazy any more, she digs climbs and so much more active, in fact they all are much more active. No nipping or fighting between none of them. They all have opportunity to bask at two different places one up high where torts can’t reach and one on the floor where they all can reach. Honestly they all seem to be much more active and happier in their new environment. My skinny plated lizard has even gained weight sense being moved. Thanks for your videos I love watching them and come this spring I’m going to be working on my reptiles and outside enclosure for natural sunshine.

Creating a naturalistic habitat can be a form of enrichment. But all in all what you are really looking for with enrichment is providing things to help encourage naturalistic behaviors.

Such a shame zoos across the world don't think like you Kenan. The reason I cannot visit them is because the animals don't have natural environments or space. I get space can be limited but in our local zoo the emu has more space than the lions n tigers :( You do such an amazing job educating people the right way and in the best way for the animal. Keep up the fantastic work. I hope to see you as a well recognised world ambassador for animals across the globe 1 day 😍

Do you ever use scent for enrichment for reptiles? When I volunteered at a couple of zoos, we used scent a lot for certain types of mammals that were very scent oriented (cats, for instance, were often really big fans of perfume). It seems like some reptiles may also get some enrichment from that sort of thing. We used essential oils and sometimes even perfume; non-food scents that might encourage the animals to engage with their environment in a different way.

I really hope that eventually everyone will realize that keeping snakes in tiny boxes stacked in shelves with nothing to do is cruel. People need to get over the idea that its ok to keep reptiles in the most basic of conditions because they have tiny brains. Every living animal deserves an at least somewhat naturalistic environment with space to move around and things to do.

Monitors aren't family pets. They require an experienced reptile keeper. Savannahs in particular are hard for even experienced handlers to keep alive more than a few years. Slinky is an Asian water monitor.
