I'm mining Verus coins on old cell phones. I'm working on a cell phone mining farm. I have 6 phones as of now. They run around 5 megahashes each. But, I'm getting into rooting my cell phones to boost hashrate. The pixel 2xl if rooted and overclocked just right they are known to throw around 160 megahashes. That's what I'm working on as of now. I'm earning around .3 Verus every day with just the 6 phones I have mining now.

"Plus RGB adds hashrate right? Hehehehe" = won the internet today. Glad to see you've taken up the cpus man, I'm still running my 12x5900x cpus. Figuring out splitters and experimenting to see how many MBs I could power at once from a single psu was the most fun. My record was 5x5900x on a 1300w gold psu. With 6 it kept tripping.

I've been mining and banking AVN with my CPU rigs. I plan on exchanging the AVN for LTC so I can move it later. I was mining Raptoreum from the start and made a pretty good chunk in the beginning. Rabid Mining has some great videos on RTM.

Why not crunch with BOINC? It is science-driven rather than profit-driven. You can use your CPU to map cancer markers, research covid, gravity waves, analyze how proteins fold and more. You can get Gridcoin from it. So then you aren't doing busy work with your chips but useful work.

One of the things I have been doing with my cpu mining rigs, is buying broken 3900xs and repairing them, pairing them with b350, even 250 mobos and replacing motherboard I was using for gpu mining. I am spending on average of 150ish or less total for my 3900 rigs, I have 3 of them right now.

i use my cpus for mining since i started mining back in 2016 and i never stopped mining on cpu´s. at the start i only use simple celerons for mining - give low reward for nearly no extra wattage, but my last gpu rigs gotted amd apu or faster cpus. But in my opinion it is not worth to build cpu only rigs. On APU´s i use the cpu part and also the gpu part for mining - it is worth :D

Good video and very helpful for newbies like me. As always, do your own research. The costs involved in this build are MUCH higher than the $400 he's quoting. Without the video card it's more like $600 and prices have come down since he made this video. But let's face it, all youtubers downplay the negatives and accentuate the positives.
@SebsFinTechChannel6 ай бұрын
Let's see. A 3900X CPU you should be able to find for about $250 used, but you need to look for deals. RAM should be about $50 (new), motherboard about $75 (new), and a power supply which can power 2 rigs about $50 (so $25 per rig). Total $400. :) Hope this helps.

You or rabid should make a video on how to setup a cpu mine but eliminate using the GPU entirely like how he has on all his cpu setups.. I question Is he taking it out the gpu while the cpu is on and mining? Is he's pulling the GPU out post changes to batch files? is leaving it out entirely and somehow bypassing the windows password and just letting the it start up disk entirely do the trick?? i haven't seen 1 clear answer to this just yet cause I want no gpu on my build but am scratching my head on how its done without damaging anything
