We stopped at Taylor’s during Springfest. Did not get the crab cakes but had a great meal. Will need to try the crab cake next time we visit OC. It will be our go to stop when in west Ocean City.

Nice! I used to live around that area and used to go to Taylor's sometimes. I liked their wings and peanut butter pie slice for dessert.

Yeah, very confusing.....same name/logo but different owners. I still like Uptown Eats better, but this one was very good. Highly recommend them. OP is stepping up their crab cake game!

I was in OC last weekend with family. The weather wasn’t great so I made sure I didn’t skip on seafood. I had a crabcake dinner at Harrison’s Harbor restaurant. Their entrees come with unlimited sides. It was probably the best crabcake I had in the last couple of years. It was all lump and no filler at all.

I like these videos. I'm always looking for new crab cake locations in OC. I was down for the boat show earlier this year and figured I would try Uptown Eats crab cake. It was very disappointing. I've had bigger crab balls. When I get down to OC, I will try one of your higher recommended crab cake locations.I just update my spreadsheet as you add these and the ones I try. Thanks.

OC Uptown Eats was a winner for us. Definitely on the smaller side though compared to others. Let me know what you think of Taylors if you try it!

Jay, now you have to try Taphouse CC to see how they compare 👍👍👍. Glad you explained about crabs to go, I figures there was a reason you didn’t do a review. Their cakes are “ok”. Maybe I’ll try buying uncooked next time. But Captains Galley is my go to living in GlenRiddle. I hit Uptown, when I’m up that way. CG also has excellent Cole slaw and really good Mac and cheese. Plus their potato chips are excellent, especially the old bay ones. Anyway, thanks for the review!

Definitely try the uncooked ones and let me know what you think! I tried thr taphouse one the other night thinking it would be the same as Taylors...but it's thr complete opposite. No lump or seasoning. Oh well.

@@ReelJayB will do. Weird that the two cakes would be so different. I guess different chefs. I am going to try Taylor’s along the line. BTW, I’m excited about Casita Linda’s. Love their food and they have KILLER cinnamon buns. Carb worthy as I like to say. I think their opening has been delayed a bit though.

looks delicious, have u tried Tap House? Recently ate there...wings were overcooked, oysters had to be sent back...not sure about the crab cakes....crab dip w/pretzel was yummy.

4.5 on the Taphouse crab cake, VERY different than Taylors....no lump, no seasonging either. We love the crab dip pretzel too! My father in law loves their smash burgers.

One of the best crab cakes i have ever had was from Corner Stable up in Hunt Valley/Timonium. if you ever get up that way like if you guys go to the State Fair there like RIGHT there and worth going to. amazing ribs too! still waiting for you guys to do a review of Anthony's Liquors subs! lol

hello,,if your ever near the bwi airport,,,g&m in linthicum md,,,is also well known for crab cakes,,cant say recent times but they are a huge stop for airport hotels and such,they bus in many visitors,corner stable has a huge rep in the balto area......timbuktu rest. in hanover md have great cc's tooo ,,so many places,ahhhh!!

Actually now called Captains Galley. Excellent crabcakes. Had them the past two nights. Thanks to Jay and Ashley’s review. I rank them and Uptown Eats (another of Jays reviews😂) as the best in town so far.

I would love to know, but I doubt they would tell me. I know a few don't use MD crab meat, it's easy to tell, but if the flavor is there, I can't knock it.

My husband of 51 years passed last Thursday, but we enjoyed so many visits to OC and so many of the restaurants you've reviewed. Today's crab cake looked so good. A decent tartar sauce is hard to find. I am more of a fundamentalist when it comes to crab cakes. I actually prefer no lump meat in the crabcake, lump meat is for Sunday Night stuffed flounder dinner. A crab cake stretches the budget to have a crab dish on a second day.

The best tartar sauce we found was at Crab Cake Factory. Their crab cakes weren't good at all, but hands down the best tartar sauce!

That is a backfin crab cake. Only jumbo lump is a real crab cake.

Crab meat is crab meat...although I prefer the jumbo lump, there are some awesome ones with backing and even non MD crab meat. It's alllll about the flavor.
