Thoorin is absolutely right, the European masters and individual european leagues is churning out so much top level talent. AND all of these european masters teams have excellent understanding of tactics macro play in comparison to the average LCS player. The depth of the Europes talent pool is being expanded to 10x the extent of the LCS. They physically cannot keep up with the talent EU is churning out because they do not have the lower leagues with the level of funding. All of these teams in Ultraliga for example are being paid a decent wage to play league professionally.

If they brought back Bo2 format, they should do it without that silly system where you got 3 points for winning the match, and 1 point in case it's a draw. This is because at that time I remember some pros (including Mithy for example) were complaining that if you lose the first map, it feels underwhelming to play for only 1 point (feels more like you lost 2 points than you gained that 1 in case of draw). 1 won map = 1 point - it should be as simple as that.

I think 3 point system makes more sense. Winning the 2nd map not only gains you 1 point, but also prevents your opponents getting additional 2. But I don't think the point system makes too much of a difference. I am fine with either so long as there is a Bo2 format.

I think one of the reasons Riot brings up against Bo3 format is that the costs of renting the studio is too high for that many days of league, and also that would be too much work for the staff (casters, producers, etc.). So if those reasons are still the case, maybe half of the matches could be played on-line since we already do it anyway (1 off-line and 1 on-line per team since it's a double round robin system), and we would kind of take the advantage of the unfavourable circumstances (I mean that due to pandemic, the staff kind of learnt already how to run the show on-line). Also, if casters are loaded with work, maybe some of the matches could be casted by the outside talent, like people from the UKLC for example. This way, LEC could simultaneously groom the new casting talent (and give a chance to those who aspire to be an LEC caster). I assume the matches played on-line and with the casters from the outside would probably had decreased numbers of viewers, but it's still better than nothing, I guess. Would love if the Bo3 format could come to fruition because honestly those Bo1 feel more like show-matches than a proper sports games. And also league feels so underwhelming after the Worlds hype, at least for me.

The LCS & LEC make profit now so they could do that theoretically unlike before but the stress on the broadcast and players is really high. I think a good solution would be to play two games instead of three so you still get more stage games but aren't as burned out.

I'm not from NA so i don't know at what age you guys finish highschool but i would like to see a young NA talent that would want to avoid this weird academy system you guys have and trying to play in ERL, just to realize how important it is for a young player to have a better management, better soloQ, better ping, better environment overall, and especially better competiton, i don't know how possible it is and even if it'd be worth it for all the parties involved, i'm pretty sure it's not worth the risk for the teams because there's a stupid amount of talent still not exploited in EU right now but the idea that NA talent could better be used elsewhere would be so ironic

I have figured out why NA sucks... they pay their players way too much for mediocre performances and not much more if they play well. Content players do not perform as well as hungry players does. This goes outside of league aswell. Solution: Put the base salary on minimum wage for all players but with massive bonuses on good performance this will for sure fix ur region.

@@trysephiroth007 Solo Q and Ping may help them improve as players, but it's a tired and old argument from LCS fans in general. I don't think it solves the OP's comment about player culture and attitude. Ping won't do a thing to make them any more hungry for success or willing to adapt to new picks. Just look at the recent Gafford interview with Hauntzer where Hauntzer defends the idea of not copying/following other league's picks. Hauntzer seems to think NA will do fine just by ignoring the meta and sticking to what is comfortable. That's an attitude problem, not a ping or Solo Q problem.

The only small thing I’ve noticed that is annoying about Dom in this show is that often, he will randomly bring up a point about NA when the topic has nothing to with NA. Like constantly. They could be discussing EU supports or some shit and then Dom will randomly start talking about NA again. If this show is gonna bring on EU guests, Dom should try to have conversations where he doesn’t reference NA constantly.
