This is one reason Cloud 9 is so good, the contrast of Blaber's hyper-aggression paired with Vulcan's collected and calm play is perfect. Blaber can know all the different plays to make, and Vulcan can better understand how effectively those plays will work.

When Thorin brought up having the mentality to find your strengths and play to them vs just having a "good player" that really rang true. I'm more competitive in fighting games than League but that mentality of recognizing your weaknesses and focusing on your strengths while improving on your weaknesses when you can is a defining trait you have to have as a fighting game player. My strength is spacing, footsies, and control; my reactions are ok but I'm better off if I force people into situations where I can predict them taking the best route for them that I set up that also is the best for me. In league I'm a support main (I like the style of vision control and controlling space/tempo vs just ham mode damage) and in lane I'm not exactly passive but I wait until my opponents creates an opening shifting the game to my turn and giving me the best chance for a punish or trade. Sadly paying attention to cooldowns, the map, and positioning is over the head of ADC's even in D1 it seems where they either wanna go full ham or full bitch mode regardless of who actually has advantage.

@@AllGodsDue Quebec is very French, the government there is trying hard to preserve their French culture. I'm Eastern European and we had a military exercise with allied troops. Our squad got ambushed by the Canadians and we were killed, out of their squad only the squad leader spoke a bit of English. Needed our observer that learned French in university as a middle man. I'm not sure if Quebecoise are overrepresented in the Canadian military or if they have separate French and English speaking units, doubt it though. So yea, it's not like the US, I'd hazard a guess that the reason why integration was easy for the US in the 20th century was because most of the migrants from Europe spoke Germanic languages and the Romance stronghold of French Louisiana is kinda dead now.

Whenever I play support (normally I main mid lane) I instant lock swain. I have zero faith in the rest of my team (especially the adc) until they prove to me that it’s worth my time to sacrifice. At least with swain I have some chance of one shotting the ADC or midlaner mid/late game with some items to turn a fight verse playing lulu and hoping to god your team does damage.

@@Poynterify Will it work against DWG, TES or MAD though? C9 performance is questionable due to the low level of performance of their region whereas top teams from the rest of the world have rivals. Even so they'd still have to contend with the 2nd seeds out of the rest of the major regions. I think NA 2nd seed would lose a bo5 to LEC and LPL 4th seeds. I'm hyped for worlds, really want to see how C9 stack up to the rest of the world.

I think blaber is much more comparable to Shad0w tbh. Selfmade this split has been a farming heavy jungler and he barely plays around Nemesis (cause Nemesis has been shit tbf) whilst Shad0w and Blaber are mechanical agressive no brainers that thrive in mid jungle 2v2 with Humanoid and Nisqy respectively

Are they just forgetting about what C9 did? Licorice, Kumo, Blabber, Diamond? They literally played their academy team 2 years ago and beat an LCS team. It can be done, but they need a great team to watch from and learn. Also coaching is key. Get a top coach and you just start winning. That’s why i think TSM needs to get LS and pay him hundreds of thousands of dollars to help them.
