@@sumitbahl2222 tier is a type of categorization in terms of Indian colleges tier 1 are generally the colleges which usually get ample placement offers and opportunities like an IIT BITS etc tier 2 falls below tier 1 colleges in terms of above mentioned whereas tier 3 students get very little opportunities and support from their colleges, hence those who you might have heard of from tier 3 are mostly placed through off campus placements
