Okay full disclosure, I heard your accent that thought “this guy is going to be a hack”. I’ve watched about 6 or 7 dash restoration videos to get ready to restore my Firebird dash. You blow the other ones out of the water. Your work is insanely good. They’re playing basketball in the street and you’re dunking in the NBA. Nice job my man. I think I’m going to spend a few days of my life watching all of your videos now. I was going to make a-pillar pods for my G8 GXP too and I’m glad to see you’ve made some and had a link already ready for me. KZbin needs you, and those Indian college professors teaching math in short videos. They’re the reason I made it through calc 2. ✌🏼

First of all, very nice videos and informative thanks for putting it out there. I do have a couple of questions regarding your process: 1. Why do you use fleece material as a base? Is it the adhesion properties for the fiber glass? 2. Can you use a spray gun instead of a brush when applying the fiber resin to the fiberglass fibers or your special mixture of Rondo after the fiberglass has been sanded down and surface prepped? Thanks for the reply in advance.
@SprayWayCustoms4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I use the fabric for adhesion purposes. I never tried to spray the Rondo through a gun but that sounds like a good idea 💡

For those who don't know, now you see why it cost to get things done in fiberglass! It's ALOT of work!! I had a custom stereo done in Memphis before it was a big thing. I learned so much watching the guy who did it. ANYONE who does this kind of work, has ALL of my RESPECT!!! Man the sanding and sanding....and SANDING....did I mention sanding??🤔😳 just to get it perfect!!! This guy is ON POINT!!! If you don't want to pay for the work, don't ask for a cheap price with fiberglass work! That's insulting!!

After watching your video about 10x. I tried it on an 84 box Chevy 4 door. It came out good but not like yours but neither did I expect it to. Then I painted it black. Big ups to you mane

Man, I just wanted to jump in and tell you that your work is a thing of beauty and it’s fascinating to watch. Makes me want to by an old car and try it myself. Or even better ship it down your way to have it done by a true artist. Thanks for sharing your videos.

nice diy for a dash that is really shot. you can put painters paper over your saw horses and then you can keep them pretty clean. I wish my paint booth had that much room. too many undone projects though.
