Awesome work but some of us make mistakes and I would personally like a video on how to fix different types of mistakes when working with fiberglass (not enough hardener so it won’t harden fully, fiberglass bubbling up, how to clean mixing cups, etc...)
@SprayWayCustoms4 жыл бұрын
If you don't put enough hardener...try applying another layer over it. Air bubbles I just let it dry and use a box cutter and cut them open and apply filler in it. I really don't use my mixing cups nothing but once when I'm painting. If I use it to mix resin in..I don't clean them I just reuse it when the resin dries.

Damn fine work. A tip that might help for those trying this is that polyester resin is exothermic. This means that the thicker the resin is the faster it will create heat on it's own making kick off (cure or harden) faster than expected, so get your resin out of your mixing container quickly so that you have the longest working time possible.

Beautiful job. Your dedication to perfection shows! I have 2 questions. First, why do use the fabric first and not just go with the fiberglass matting over the original dash? Second, why did you use bondo glazing puddy on the kick panels and the 2 part glaze on the dash?
@SprayWayCustoms4 жыл бұрын
I use fabric for a couple reasons. The fiberglass resin sticks to fabric real good and it doesn't bond to plastic or vinyl well. I also use it to form the object I'm fiberglassing. I actually used the Bondo glazing putty on the dash also. I use it mainly right before paint when it's small minor imperfections plus I like to show different ways of doing things just for video purposes. Thanks for the great questions 🤝
