John Cusack went to my high school (Many years before I did, of course). I assume on days it was raining he'd stand outside the classroom and listen through the window with one of those old-timy hearing horns. Also, you should have included how Jonathan Frakes (Riker from Star Trek The Next Generation) sits in chairs. He climbs over the back of them.
@enzd7358 жыл бұрын
...I've watched TNG so many times, yet never picked up on that. Not sure if it had more to do with his size or his back injury. He also leans a lot when he's still.
@Mech6108 жыл бұрын
Enzd It may be a combination of both conditions. The leaning is definitely from the injury, though. But yeah, there's a compilation video of him climbing over the backs of chairs in like half a dozen scenes from TNG (And there's definitely many more, but the video maker chose those for the compilation). It's kind of mesmerizing to watch how he'd enter a scene and with a single action immediately own the room lol.

I sit on most chairs the same way. I'm 6'1", but have very long legs for my height. Any chair that isn't about belly button high just gets hurdled like the way Riker does it. Think that probably has a lot to do with it, very few people have commented on it with me. It's weird, but not weird enough to draw someones attention to exactly what's happening. They just think "hm, that seemed different".
@Maximusrex45758 жыл бұрын
I had seen an interview where that maneuver was mentioned, and it came up that he did it for two reasons, one it was an inside joke making fun of how small the chairs they used on set were, and the other was it was easier for him to do smoothly later on when he had some back issues.

Jennifer Aniston's throat clearing seems to be exclusive to Friends (the only clips shown here). That might imply that this is a quirk of "Rachel's" that Aniston consciously used for the character. @natfailsyoutube81638 жыл бұрын

@ameliaq.74818 жыл бұрын
nat4200 Exactly. And having people eating in a scene probably makes editing harder if they have to use different takes of the same scene. It's really noticeable when an actor has taken a bite out of something but it's suddenly whole again in the next shot. Or when someone's drinking and the liquid level in the glass keeps going up and down. I'm sure it's easier to just leave food out of a scene completely.
@frozenaorta8 жыл бұрын
Amelia Q. Yep. It's continuity errors just waiting to happen. Back when my girlfriend and I used to actually watch Big Bang Theory, we always used to be amused by how they never ate. I mean, the group is CONSTANTLY eating on that show--they just never actually take a bite. They just stir and stir and poke. Then right when it looks like someone might take a bite... They freeze and react to something said.

Harrison Ford also loves getting soaking wet in his films. Star Wars: A New Hope - When they go down the trash chute; Empire SB - Snow on Hoff (it's moisture, I'll take it); Return of The Jedi - When he comes out of the carbonite. Indiana Jones films - he's at least drenched in sweat most of the time! Blade Runner? Lots of rain. The Fugitive - When he jumps into the dam. What Lies Beneath - That's a particularly wet film. I'm sure there are more. Bottom line is that Ford loves getting completely sopping wet.

Jimmy Fallon doesn't so much start speaking gibberish as he does start slurring his speech. This is a combination of two things. 1) Sometimes it's considered funnier to say something humorous and just keep going as if you're unimpressed by your own joke, because it makes it feel more impressive when something genuinely funny you just said doesn't even faze you, so 2) he does it in a way that allows the audience to keep laughing without having to worry that they're missing vital information while he continues talking. It's more a strange technique than a tic.

+Adam Ant Its when you have lost hair-i--o and feel the need to prove your manhood.
@zEropoint688 жыл бұрын
see, i actually thought this out. i figured there are three "man" words for "seductress": gigolo, romeo, and lothario. a gigolo is in it for money, a romeo is in it for love, but a lothario is in it purely for the sexual conquest. although casanova is good too.
@WakenerOne8 жыл бұрын
You figured wrong, and you didn't even count the first one that came to my mind: "Seducer." And then there are "wolf," "bird dog," "inveigler," "debaucher," "Don Juan," "playboy," "gallant," "womanizer," "gay boy," "philanderer," "charmer," "lady-killer," "ladies' man," "trifler," "seductor," and yes, "lothario," as well as others. A "romeo" is NOT in it for love. A "romeo" is one who has a reputation of success with many women, usually without any thought of the consequences. The singer in the song "The Wanderer" by Dion is a "romeo." But Hank Moody from Californication would not be because he *frequently* considered the consequences, and saw an individual beauty in every woman he was with.
@roberthofmann84035 жыл бұрын

I honestly forgot the movie, but they didn't substitute anything for actual alcohol because it was supposed to be a quick scene... yet went on for take after take after take, after take. I want to say that it was Chris Pratt in Take Me Home Tonight, though I could totally be wrong. I do recall the hotdogs from he first American Pie, where Jason Biggs had stated that they ate so many of them during the scene in the restaurant, that he had to start spitting them out or else he was going to vomit.
