Craft Room Organization 2020| Paper Pads - Keep as is or break apart?

My main organization philosophy is to store items in such a way that you will use them. So for me sometimes a paper pad works as a paper pad and sometimes the paper is better served outside of a pad whether in a page kit or my stash. Today's video I walk through my initial thought process for a number of paper pads I recently purchased.

I have never seen paper packs like those that you kept together. Those are awesome!!

I think they maybe exclusive to Joann Fabrics. Sometimes these manufacturers do special configurations of product for specific stores. I think they are great... a sampling of the collection which can make it a little more affordable. ~Melanie

Thanks for flipping through the paper pads! I don't think I've ever purchased a Kaisercraft paper pad. I appreciated hearing your rationale for which paper pads would be taken apart, and liked the idea of keeping only half the paper pad together!

I started doing this years ago and it has remained a great way to organize my papers. I buy way fewer pads these days - they are a great value per sheet but I have too much waste remaining.

Ironically I used to stay away from them because I didn’t know what to do with them. It just seemed like they got lost in my stash. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how I use items and that has helped ... so now I’m more comfortable with them... which has led to the flood gates opening ... sigh... 😞. It’s always a balancing act with me. ~Melanie
