I really want to thank you. I am a 72 year old shut in.You are an inspiration to me. Listening to you is a comfort. You show your work giving instructions and keeping me engaged with your stories. I had a hard time because I wanted to make a junk journal, but I didn't have the means to buy any kits. By watching you, I decided to just look at everything I did have. I searched all over and came up with a few things, then I remembered I had a flood of magazines from other paper crafts. I have cut so many things out, and now I am on my way. I have dyed paper and found old index cards. I am lucky that the journal I want to make has no real theme. It's for my 16 year old granddaughter who will graduate high school next year in 2025, so I am filling it with things she is interested in. I love watching you. I see what you are doing. Thank you so much.

Love these paper collages. The history of scrap booking with paper and embellishment keepsakes all started with pieces of leftover and recycled paper and scraps. With fabric scraps we got the entire world of quilts; no one would dare waste a hard to come by piece of fabric, especially in the rural areas. Loose buttons and feathers spurred the proliferation of embellished cards in the Victorian era where those items were luxuries. Even paper, first produced in China has a wonderful history. These collages are a great way to reduce waste and recycle these wonderful products we take for granted today.

I'm loving your Craft with Me videos & learning a lot. I enjoy the way you bring us along a project...very fun, friendly, low key, & informative. I appreciate that as it's sometimes hard as a new crafter to follow a sped-up video & to understand what products they're using. Thank you for sharing your time & expertise with us.

I'm quiet late with watching this. It's April 23 2020 today. It's better late than not at all. This method is awesome. I've just now bought washi. Some cane to me as thank you gifts and after using it I need to get some. I love collaging. You never get the same thing twice. This would look good as a cover for a junk journal. It's so pretty !! These are all very pretty and will be great however you use them

Can't wait to get to the craft room and get to it. You made me chuckle when you said, at one point, "Let's do it!" I have a nephew, Ronnie, who's 46 and has Downs Syndrome. He loves to eat out and if someone mentions in passing, the name of a restaurant, he'll chime in from wherever he is and whatever he's doing, "Awright! Let's do it!" (He plays deaf until food is mentioned...)

Gayle, I love your scraps! I have the same kind, from punching out circles, tags, squares, etc. I'm such a paper hoarder that I save all that, I hate to cut into a brand new piece of paper if I have scraps leftover. I use to teach card making classes and I would get as much out of one sheet of paper, my husband laughs at me! I'm going to tell him you do the same. You have inspired me so much that I am actually using up my scraps. I have so much paper and I love hoarding it. Now, I'm actually using it and enjoying it more by seeing it all over the place, on a tag, on pocket on a journal page, etc. Thank you so much for sharing your time and talents. We will miss you, but, I will catch up on some older videos. Take care!

How happy this has made me, this is what it's all about, not ready made dies or all the arty stuff this the nitty gritty of inspiring beginners. I started cutting from wallpaper and have so much stuff, but watching some of the junk journal videos only inspires to that I need to find other things that the stuff I have will never be good enuf. So I've never started a journal yet 😢 The ones ppl put up I think r to show off not to inspire ppl. Yurs is beautiful but all inspiring after watching I feel or think I cud make a 100 journals. 2morrow I'm going to start my first journal sheet which I will send u a pic of. Thank you so much for sharing yur amazing video. U will be the person with yur video I hope that will start my journey. Thank you so much. Best wishes for 2019 x
