If you are struggling with amigurumi as a beginner I really suggest taking the time to watch some videos on what abbreviations means also on how to read patterns and how to do more stitches apart from a single crochet. Learning that REALLY helps and makes it easier to follow along to videos. Once you learn how to understand that it really does make a world of difference when crocheting. And yes your size of yarn and hook will determine how big or small your project ends up. Different weights of yarn and hook sizes will definitely change the size of your project. But don’t give up!!! Keep trying! You’ll see how much better you get over time! 💕🫶🏼

Well if anyone use not so chunky yarn like me, when doing the spikes, you can do 4 chains and sc at the 3rd chain yo do, because if you did at the second chain, there will be not so pretty gaps
