I think those highly rare weapons are rarer than Unusuals, which are touted as some of the most expensive items in the game.

Well I guess it depends on the unusual. Aren't there some unusuals that there are only like 2 to 3 in existence of? (Most are far more common, obviously.) Incidentally, Collector's weapons now have craft numbers! If you go to the backpack viewer at tf2tools.net (not backpack.tf) you can see them in my profile. I have a craft #26, a #32, a #40, etc.

The widowmaker is one of my favourite weps to play with, glad to have one of this red texted strange item soon(singularity and deadly daffodil)! :)

It's always fascinating for me too look back at these videos and think about the time that they came out. i bet collectors kits and weapons were a whole hell of a lot cheaper back then. Hell the only collector's item i have is a collector's buffalo steak, and despite being on the lower end of collectors items, it's still nuts.

Oh yeah, they were cheap cheap cheap. Before completing any, I spent about a year making money buying and reselling them, I had tons of every kind. They were sneered at at first. Like, under five steam bucks for many. I completed a bunch of "non-strange" ones too and sold them off. Also, spells were cheap, I collected hundreds and stopped when I got bored with it.

​@@jafafa I didn't even knew you could make strange collector's items I just found more and more knowlegde about the game days after days like strange unusual that I didn't knew could exist until I saw someone drop one but also I remember having kits like this years in the past and I think I just throw them away like a complet idiot or just gived them away just like the first cases like the first series and robot cases that I just deleted when I was young cause I take to much space now I have more than 20 inventory without opening cases or bying extra space and I can't even full alf of them I was rlly dumb throwing all that free money as a kid 😒😔

I'm the proud owner of one of these! (Villainous Violet, Flames + Damage Dealt, Taunting Player Kills, Halloween Spell: Exorcism.) It's the pride and joy of my TF2 inventory, even though I have some pretty high-tier unusuals. I probably crafted mine around the same time you did as well! Getting it to Hale's Own is going to be hard, but well worth it. I also find that, if you have a killstreak wrench of any sort, actually racking up enough kills to get the decent 10-kill eye effect is actually pretty easy!

everytime i stop playing this game i come back and find that my items are now worth a few bucks so i sell them and return to the game a few years later to see that they would have been worth hundreds... collectors chemistry sets were literally ~.10 when they first dropped and of course valve dosnt redrop them or halloween spells so even items with spell on them cost a crap ton and me selling my phlog with the spectral flames for like 10 ref back in the day is now worth a few hundred us dollars...

It depends on who is selling them. I've seen times when the cheapest was at least $17, and times when it was less. In general, though, they are becoming more and more scarce.

That's the pro killstreak kit. One you get 5 kills it starts shining more and maxes out at ten kills... It also gives you very unusual effects around the head and eyes which get greater as you get up towards a killstreak of ten. There are different head effects in different colors - fire, lightning, etc.

Hunterman 1. I got the widowmakers from scrap.tf, mostly. 2. I bought the chem set from the steam market when they were cheap. 3. a collector's item sits there in a red box being rarer. :D
