This is what I did before I discovered diamond painting. My mom taught me when I was 7 or 8. I was back & forth with it until 2013 & then went full force until 2018. I have about 100 kits that are finished that I'm giving away or unfortunately throwing away because I just have nowhere to put them. Since 2018 I've just been dedicated to diamond painting. As always I love your nails 💅..Thank you for showing this amazing craft. ❤

What a brilliant video! Wonderfully clear, calm and detailed instructions, absolutely perfect for a novice latch-hooker like me! I’ve been laid up for a while due to illness and came across a latch hook kit that really caught my eye whilst browsing the internet. Thanks to your excellent tutorial I now feel confident that, even at 58 and never having done it before, I’ll be able to tackle the kit. Many thanks!

Thank you for your tutorial, I'd totally forgotten I could do this lol. Taught by my mum, sock knitting by my nanny, painting by my great grandfather, cooking by my dad and mgardening with my grandad Bob, baking and general thrifty cooking by my nanny, curries by my dad, cake decorating by my mum - living a full life by all of them. I have just found my knitting looms and have no idea how to use them - if you could do a tutorial I would really appreciate it - your teaching style is so relaxed, must get a cuppa next time thank you from England UK

This is so cool. My mom and I used to do latch hooking when we lived in Germany. My mother showed me how to not only do the latch hooking kits but also how to design our own wall hangings and rugs. They were a bunch of AIDS that we had to help with doing the latch hooking. One of the AIDS was a plastic sea bar clamp type thing that would hook onto our table and it would hold the latch hooking Kansas in place so that it wasn't moving around on you. My mom's biggest piece was a huge oriental rug that she did. We also when we were designing our own rugs there was a yarn cutter that I believe bernat had at one point that we used to cut our own yarn with in order to make the rugs. I still have most of it I just haven't used it for a long time because I've been busy with other things. Thank you for taking the time to show other people how interesting this craft is.

I used to do mine differently. Try putting in the hook, wrap yarn around pole, as you pull, lay yarn in hook, turn it slightly left or right and pull. Latch will close and pull. Try it and see if that works. Just another way. Won’t get bored if you switch up while completing your rug. Hope I explained that correctly.

Yay!! I'm so excited for this video! I've been wanting to learn to latch hook for a while now and when I first heard you mention you were going to be making a video on it, I got so excited because you are my favorite crafter and you make everything so much easier when you teach things. You also give extra tips and tricks to make it easier that I don't find in other crafting videos. Things that maybe seem obvious to someone that is an experienced crafter but not necessarily a newbie. Like how to cut the canvas afterwards or working from the bottom to the top. So thank you for really breaking it down for the ones of us that are truly new to the crafts that you've shown us! I know I really appreciate all the hard work and thought that you put into your videos!

I have never heard of this craft before and it is one that I can definitely do. I’d be interested in a time lapse of you completing it. My mum and sister did crocheting and it was like pulling teeth when they tried to teach me - I’m quite good at it now. I was also introduced to many crafts at school but only on an introduction level. I became a proficient knitter in my early twenties where a lady at a place I worked, rounded off my learning - I cannot thank her enough. 💜

So glad I watched you. Arthritis has ended my cross-stitching. On to latch hooking! UPDATE: I'm a third of the way through latch hooking an 80 x 80 Christmas tree skirt, when I realized the included, preprinted canvas was 76 x 77!
