The way you talk about the art-putting love, soul, and history into each piece- is very touching! I want to learn to make masks too!!

So quick, fluid and beautiful !! Thank you! That snail is great! I'm howling! lol! When I saw the size of that snail! I knew I had to watch your film!!!!! After all, it's not everyday you see a snail oversized + overtaking the life size of a human head!!😄😄😄😄😄😄😆😀

This video is so inspiring. I normally paint murals in peoples' homes but I also love many crafts including costume making. I have always felt like I had an Italian heart from a past life. Although I have not yet gone, it is high on my list. I am starting a design for a Venetian Carnival costume and beginning with the mask. I am so glad I found this video.

Also! Pulling on that nose, gave me an ulcer from laughing! I was an art major, and I see the intensity of true craftmanship. You can rework my face anytime! Your lady worker also has sensitivity to think brilliantly for that feather and to bring out it's length, curl, lightness and more! By the way, harp music was the Aran boat piece, I was into Celtic music along time. Thank you again!

What an interesting documentary. I have a personal interest in masks, when I was studying many moons ago the masks of Commedia del Arte fascinated me as much as those used in Japanese and Chinese traditional arts forms. Venice too is such a wonderful place. I would loved to have learnt more about Maria Belloni and his artistic practice Thanks for sharing a great introduction into the traditions and the continuance of such traditions in the 21st century

+Lucy Chau Lai-Tuen Sheen Thanks so much, Lucy. This doc is a part of my project about traditional craftsmanship in different countries. Unfortunately all these ancient traditions are in mortal danger in our modern world. More docs are coming soon.

As a mask maker who creates in the traditional Venetian method, I can't thank you enough for this documentary about one of the original artists who revitalized mask culture in Venice. Such an inspiration!

Could you tell me how to make the negative mold? I understand all the other steps, but I somehow can't figure out how to make that mold in a correct way.
