You can get this product from the link below! suigenkyo.store/products/bamboo-flower-vase-creek?_pos=1&_sid=6a4c9c381&_ss=r 10% off coupon "SUIGENKYO10" Product information This flower basket lets you feel the beauty of bamboo. It is one of the traditional Japanese flower baskets. Arima baskets are a traditional bamboo craft that originated in the Azuchi-Momoyama period. It is said that the origin of Arima baskets dates back to the days of Hideyoshi Toyotomi, who began making flower baskets at Arima Onsen, a hot spring resort that Hideyoshi Toyotomi loved and that was favored by Sen no Rikyu. Various bamboo crafts are handmade by craftsmen using high-quality bamboo.

Ok yes, so this guy is making a nice basket, and I by no means mean to deminish his work, but it isn't any different than a million other folks sitting around in Asia (primarily I presume), doing the exact same thing. Most of us have become completely incapable of using our hands for anything but typing on keyboards anymore, so we look at a guy making a simple basket as some outstanding artisan, which he for sure isn't. It's not really artwork at all, but pretty simple handywork as it has been done for thousands of years I'm sure. Baskets like these can be found on just about any side street all over Asia, I saw it myself a couple months ago and they're amazingly detailed and turned out in no time at all.

Ciò non toglie che sia un lavoro da certosino. Pazienza, calma attenzione , agilità delle dita e una grande bravura. A dispetto di quello che dice questo sapiente.

This is focused on Asian crafts, family businesses using older and ancient techniques. I live in the Western US and could buy First Nations baskets. Made by hand also, with different wood, bark and willows.

Inheriting a 500-year-old technique?! Why is that stated in the form of a question? Is there some degree of doubt as to the age of the technique? Is there doubt as to whether or not it was actually inherited or purchased at the technique store? Japanese craftsmanship is certainly top shelf, but the grammar is an abomination.
