Every time I listen to the minecraft songs I feel this deep nostalgia, but even while playing minecraft sometimes nowadays I can never saturate this longing for a certain mindset and feelings from a different more careless time. I started playing at 13 in my childhood bedroom, late nights with friends on skype and summers full of gaming or being outside. Now I am 21, have a job, a boyfriend and live in my own flat. Most of my friends from back then moved someplace else, some friendships even broke apart. Time flows by like crazy.

I remember spending 5 days in the 8th grade trying to get minecraft (I think it was an alpha 1.x.x something) from somewhere on my old Pentium 4 PC. Imagine the joy when it finally run and it barely loaded my first map (I still remember I spawned on sand, near the ocean) and it got super laggy but then after loading for 5 minutes it ran decently.. 10 years since that moment, finished my Academic degrees, have a relationship, moved out and I became a developer and knowing what's behind takes away the magic I've felt when I was a kid, sometimes it's hard getting myself to play even though ironically, that's the reason I pursued this path..

i wish i could describe the feeling i had playing this game for the first time. it was a world where i could finally do anything i could ever imagine. No problems, no responsibilities, no goals, just having a good time and enjoying myself. time moves quickly...

The acquisition of responsibility is probably the biggest factor in having to grow up and become an adult. Many are forced into responsibility at younger age even than their parents. this leads to missing being a child more because they didn't have as much time to be one, some don't have to grow up until they are in their late 20s so they don't miss it as much and don't feel as if time has slipped away.

this reminds me of the good old times in the old days when i was 8 and 9 and now i think so much of the past of how fun i used to have and now im going to start high school and then the last day of middle school last week was nostalgic to me that it is not gonna feel the same as it was. and now i am a teenager when i listen to songs like mutatation and sweden other minecraft musics i get the feeling of nostalgia when i was a kid. and whenever something bad happend then i wasnt sad i was focusing on minecraft and having fun. i started in 2017 but it still gives me nostalgia. i kind of consider myself a veteran player butt it also feels like i am not.

how could i not remember the feeling of meeting up with childhood friends and play minecraft all day? How could i not remember the feeling of building worlds in hours and hours only to abandon them once it got too "easy"? How could i not remember the feeling of playing until the night, laugh at the stupidest things and get scared whenever my pickaxe broke? Those nights were the peak of childhood, knowing that you will be a mess tomorrow if you don't sleep, but downloading a certain mod, a certain shader, building a certain house or farming in a certain mine was simply more important. I remember this one night with my bestest friend from back then during summer vacation, playing together on playstation 3 until 5 am when her dad got up to work and we seriously had to pretend we were already asleep. We built a gigantic mansion in survival mode and after we got bored, we went into one of the "tutorial worlds" they used to have back then and jumped around like idiots. What I am trying to say is that: yes, i remember this feeling.

I remember around the first time I played Minecraft one of the first games I ever played on a 360 Xbox. I'll never forget that sheer excitement I felt rush through me when I looked around the world around me and explored that old tutorial map. I see Minecraft more than just a random block game for everyone to play, It gave me such memories that'll never be replaced or replicated the same way. Every time I'd come back home from school me and my siblings would always join together to play a game of Minecraft. Although we don't play it together as much anymore cause we've gotten much older that game, has never made our bonds as siblings as strong as it did then now. Who knew this little game called Minecraft could make me feel so at ease and take my mind off things that I just didn't wanna think of. I grew up with Minecraft and I still am growing with it

I could never forget getting home to my old house, which was in much better shape back then, and beelining it straight to my room to play Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition. Back then, my family couldn't afford internet, so I'd spend long days cooped up in my tiny room and play all by myself, flying around in creative, being terrified of the dark, and just explore the world. I would build stupid builds that I loved so much, and when I had to stop playing, I would place my phone in the place where service was best to watch stampylonghead, Sky Does Minecraft, SSundee, all of the big names at the time. Man, I miss those days, but time just keeps going on... All of these memories just from hearing Haggstrom, and now the tears won't stop.

I miss playing that world my dad made for me and my dad ro play:( but when we sold our ps3 I was so sad. When we got our Xbox I was super happy! We made so many worlds until my dad made an amazing build that we were gonna survive in! Then my lil bro came to the world (irl) and when he was like 4 he started playing Minecraft and he destroyed our whole world. I miss that world. I miss dad.

I got to know minecraft when my father gave me my first video game at age 9, my older brothers had moved house and went to be independent, I felt very alone and this game filled my emptiness in those long and lonely afternoons. In my adolescence I met people who also played and I had a lot of fun with my friends, anyway... time passed and we all became adults, I lost contact with most but I will never forget our good old memories together. Thank you for giving me such a good childhood my dear Jesus. A hug from Brazil guys.

2014 and your friend shows you minecraft on his wii u, you like it and get your own. Instantly loves it and becomes the only thing you do for years, it was an escape from the real world. A place where you could build, fight and hang out with friends. It may have been strugling fighting those enderman, zombies, skeletons but it was worth all of the memories and fun. Meeting new friends and playing with ones you already had, watching stampy cat everday. Recreating building time. You never got to finish that city did u? Or did u get to finish your lovely world?

Я не играла в эту игру больше 5 лет..Так грустно понимать, что ты больше не испытаешь того чувства, когда ты зашёл в этот чудесный мир в первый раз. Навряд ли сможешь снова поиграть той компанией друзей или снимать те самые простые, незамысловатые ролики. А может, у тебя был тот самый друг, с которым ты проводил много времени...И он больше не заходил. Как он там? Помнишь когда ты зашёл на свой первый сервер? Первый мод который ты скачал... Раньше было хорошо. Я бы сделала всё ради того, чтобы хоть на пару часов повторить эти мнгоновения. Майнкрафт - лучшее что было в моей жизни...да и не только в моей. Я рада что я узнала про эту игру, и рада, что провела в ней очень много времени... Спасибо.
