@@AverageAwesomeDude I see what you're saying, little Finger's plans definitely brought on chaos by sowing the seeds of betrayal, mistrust, and war. Otto's plans are more having to do with the positioning of his daughter (house) to a higher station while diminishing any chance of Daemon or Rhaenyra ruling. Although it is most definitely a selfish act I do believe he knows how volatile Targaryens can be and in his mind it is probably what is best for the realm. If I had to compare his planning to anyone I would say it is vaguely similar to varys, albeit with more of a self-serviing agenda. I can see where you're coming from though.

@@strongsuccessfulweeb1400 I don’t agree I imagine the dragons as sort fighter jets/ tank and like those things there useful for conventional warfare and general destruction but can be circumvented with non conventional tatics (just like real world guiralla and Asymmetric warfare like Vietnam for the Americans Afghanistan for the Soviets or Algeria for the French) I do appreciate that the crab feeder is shown using tactics like night attacks, sabotage and the cave systems to avoid a conventional fight where the dragon would burn them, and they way they win is daemon eventually going on pretty much a suicide mission to draw him into a conventional battle where they were destroyed

Honestly, I think the "crab feeder" in the lore is more interesting and makes more sense for some reason the show took almost all of the political complexity out of the situation and just turned him into a generic horror film villain. And for what? He's not even intimidating when placed against Dragon riders anyway so it doesn't even make sense to go against the lore and take out all the nuance for some cheap build up of a character that almost immediately gets killed... after like 2 cheaply written battles.

Everyone saying Otto Hightower isn't chaotic evil are wrong I think. I don't think being chaotic means you don't plan or aren't calculating... Chaotic just means that you actively oppose authority and laws or at least means you don't behave according to the plans of authority and society aka laws. Chaotic means you oppose LAWFUL authority or you reject having to behave LAWFULLY. Chaotic evil seems accurate. He is chaotic because he is manipulating the king who makes the laws, thus he trying to avoid and manipulate the laws that get in the way of HIS plans.... He is evil because he is only concerned with himself and doesn't care about who he hurts to get his way (like pimping his daughter) That is completely in line with chaotic evil. I suppose he could be considered neutral evil as well because even though he manipulates and misleads the king (law giver) he has so far "technically" not operated outside of the law, hence it would be just as justifiable to call him neutral evil. However he definitely isn't lawful evil because he doesn't really care about the law or any code of behavior. Whereas lawful evil people are selfish, hateful and cruel, aka evil, under strict codes and laws, Otto is evil in ambivalence of the law, iif not in complete disregard of it
