It's really sad that Craig is so unknown compared to other talk show hosts. He didn't even get that much of a goodbye from others. One of the best in the business.

+BandagedThumbs Corden has managed to be quite popular in a short time whereas Craig Ferguson kinda flew under the radar. Kinda stumped as to why that's happened.

They replaced Craig with James Corden, who is not nearly as funny or brilliant. Corden has an insincerity about him, similar to Fallon's forced laughter. Craig is a natural. I don't know why CBS invested so much more $$ into Corden's show. Craig didn't have the huge live audience, the live band, etc etc. Yet he still managed to be more interesting (and of course sexier).

I'm not ashamed to admit it, Craig's show has really helped me through some rough times. I discovered him while I was dealing with some shit, about a year before he went off the air, and I couldn't get enough. Binged through everything I could lay my eyes on and watched religiously since. It's not just his silly jokes, improvisation, unparalleled wit and charisma, or ability to have a meaningful and entertaining conversation with the most boring of guests. There was something about him and his show... that just filled me with hope time and time again, when I most needed it. I really miss him.

I think he's a savvy performer. Watch his Seth Meyers interview and you'll see a completely different Craig. Much lower key. I think he came in amped because he knows Colbert is a high--energy, very interupt-y sort of interview with a big studio audience. Love him.

+MetrazolElectricity Colbert is not used to not being the funniest person in the room. I'm a die-hard Colbert fan for 10 years. I wonder if it's because Colbert is used to being the one who is the anti-establishment guest who "doesn't care" , but now he has an establishment role.

+Mr. Tulip ... Craig does take over interviews (with ease), and will say anything that may pop into his head during an interview. Difficult for anyone to keep up with. Colbert knew it... and did the best he could with it. He knows how quick Craig is!.... Interesting that Craig said he'd never have left if the F bomb was permitted on The Late Show. Hmmm... possibly the main reason Colbert and Craig weren't sitting in opposite seats during this interview! ( Bet CBS are kicking themselves now!)

If you liked this you should watch some of the many thousands of clips on youtube of the late late show. His monologue was the best in late night ever, even better than johnny carson in my opinion. And every interview was unscripted! I tried watching his replacement after he retired...but every time i'd just end up watching old ferguson late late show youtube clips instead. Fun fact: Craig Ferguson was and is a better Late Night talk show host than anybody on US-TV right now. BTW: Many of the old LLS episodes are on YT. Just search for Fergusion and long videos.

+Bobgrey You know he's been hosting a game show since not long after leaving TLLS, right? "The Celebrity Name Game." Craig actually just won a Daytime Emmy for it. I'd thought it'd been cancelled when I learned about this new show, but apparently, Craig is under contract to host through 2017. It's definitely watchable if you don't hate game shows, but it's practically the complete opposite format than a late night talk show so it's definitely not satisfactory for long-time Craig and TLLS fans.

I miss Craig in late night. He was the best. He could carry that whole show alone for an hour each night. No band. No sidekick. No script. And he was absolutely hilarious. But he could do a straight, journalistic interview as well. I haven't watched late night television regularly since he left.

Craig was brilliant, honest, intelligent and funny. He was a natural host, always making his guests feel welcome. You were always laughing with him even when he wasn't funny. King of late night. Should have had a bigger budget for the show. Who else could have made a show with robot skeleton as a side. Too many fake talk shows hosts out there. Craig was the real deal.

It's interesting to watch clips of Craig on other talk shows, because lately I've been on a big The Late Late Show binge and it shows how special, how out there him and his show really were. Also it's cool to see the differences in the direction, the camera work and so forth. A huge shame that he quit, but what're you gonna do? But I will also say that Colbert is one of the good guys - he is awesome and I hope all the best to him, but I also hope that he will (get to) shape the Late Show in his own image even more in the future.

uh, you might not like him personally, and honestly i rarely watch talkshows outside of youtube videos (or watch live tv in general, no reason to other than sports) but to say Colbert is failing miserably, or failing at all, is sheer stupidity. Thats not a subjective matter. You liking him is subjective, completely your opinion and you can rightly think he is terrible But his numbers are OUTSTANDING, he has the #1 late night show by a good bit. Im sure CBS could not be happier with Colbert @@Zayden.
