Craig is probably the most original and genuine host in late night. It's a shame he won't be hosting The Late Late Show any longer, I'm hoping he's going to a different network where he can continue to have hilarious moments and genuine heartfelt moments like this one. Ferguson will always be one of my favorite late night hosts because of ability to talk about his personal life without fear of public outlook or opinion. Not once have I seen him appear fake or attempt something that's not in his nature. He's always true to himself and true to others, which is what probably gave him the confidence to perform this outstanding eulogy. This is not only about his relationship with his mother, this is about every mother-son or parent-child relationship, and I believe most of us found familiarity in his speech. Kudos to you, Craig!

Never been so moved with what Craig said about his dad,I have lived in Glasgow all my life and my father was the exact same generation as Craigs dad was, a lovely man but did not show his feelings and that cut me up for him that he did not show that side at all.l get what you are saying 100% fergie.cheers.

I know Craig won’t see this but I’m sure his mom was a lovely woman...to be able to do the monologue so soon after the funeral couldn’t have been easy... as people often say... you only get one mom ❤️

This was so honest and moving. One of the reasons I love Craig Ferguson is because, even though he's an entertainer, you can see a lot of his personality through his show.

my favorite part of Craig is, and has always been, his sincerity. in a superficial world that we live in, where we edit our lives on social media to create this fake persona that we are "happy" or "satisfied" with our lives, I always appreciated that I could turn on Craig and find some genuine, unstaged humor and sincerity, no matter what was going on in Craig's personal life. It's awesome to hear about his childhood and some of the personal experiences that have shaped him into who he is today. I'm a believer in Jesus and I wanted to just say that I really pray that Craig will open his heart to Him and remember that "Jesus loves me, this I know; for the bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong, they are weak but He is strong."
