Oh wow! One of my favourite places to visit. I’m Welsh and moved to Norfolk 5 years ago so this is wonderful to see. Craig y nos is magical! I love the vibe there. I miss it very much 🥰

Hi Cara , Lin bought me a weekend here for my birthday , it was indeed a magical place , in a beautiful setting , Wales is a breathtaking country , and I plan to do more episodes there in the future , I think the people who make Craig y nos so good are the ones who work there ! My daughter and myself spent a night ghost hunting at crag y nos. It was fabulous. Our room was lovely. The ghost hunting team were amazing and we loved every minute. Staff were friendly and the food was delish. 👍

@@theexiledyellowbelly714 Yes the staff are lovely. I get spooked out by everything and asked a member of staff why there were "scratch" marks on my bedroom door...👻👻 Turns out it was a doggy friendly room....so it was a dog not a ghost. Enjoy your next adventure there 👍

Great video. Amazing ballroom with that variable level floor. There are some recordings of Adeline Patti but made long after her prime. Interesting though to hear her singing voice. Looks like you had decent weather.

Hi mate I was really interested in The Adelina Patti history , she was quite a woman , yes she didn’t record anything until late in her career and would only record at the castle , it’s interesting though isn’t it to know , that until she finished the recordings she had heard her own voice before in her life ! We take recording devices for granted now , but she only knew she was good because people told her she was ! Iv got to admit when I heard her recordings I thought “ what a racket “ in the words of Basil fawlty “ adelina patti’s first racket “ 🤣the weather and the scenery was amazing I highly recommend a globetrotter like yourself to visit 😊

I have sung in that beautiful theatre on a couple of occasions. There's a real sensation of someone being on that stage with you (apart from your colleagues, obviously!) and 'encouraging' you. It's hard to explain, but I've never felt anything like it.

@@theexiledyellowbelly714 It is the most incredible place. I've recently been commissioned to co-author a new biography of Patti so I'll be going back soon to do some research. We had great fun when we were working there scaring each other witless with ghost stories as you can imagine!

@@theexiledyellowbelly714 I've got an 18 month deadline to produce a first draft (so not long!!!), so I expect it to be available in 2-2 1/2 years or so. I'm an opera singer mostly, but very rarely in any of Patti's repertoire. This is me (a while back, but not much of me is on KZbin!) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3-TaJ5rq6hjepY And I'll never forget that really, really odd sensation on that stage at Craig-y-nos - it really is as though someone is standing at your shoulder, willing you to give your best. I've never known it anywhere else.

Wow …. Well I wasn’t really expecting that Zoe , I’m not an expert on opera …. But that sounded pretty amazing to me !!!! I hope you will let me know when the book comes out , as I really would be interested in that , I did notice that when I was there a man was carrying a rather thick hardback on Patti , and please keep me informed if you are ever singing in the south east , as for the castle , I found it magical , it made me sad to leave and determined to return , their is deffinately a great vibe about the place !
