I’m on my 3rd week of NC now, focusing on my workouts & other activities. I sent him an email about the things I learned about myself and my daughters codependency on me. It’s was insightful. He responded that he is devastated not having me in his life and doesn’t know if he can recover. He told me he loves me and that no being able to have a good relationship with my daughter will be a major problem. At least we’re communicating but I’m not going to jump back into this relationship again until we fix our issues. I’ll continue to improve myself and see how things progress.

I am now 3 weeks away from 1 year of no contact without hearing a word. But still she blocks and unblocks me every month on FB so it does seem that people will miss you even after such a long period of time because if you were really indifferent you will not even waste the energy to block and unblock someone. Leave them in peace because you do not know what is happening in their lives on in their minds. Think about it even if you have to wait years and you hear from them again you will be someone completely different and they will be blown away. Even if someone falls out of love with you your original version made them fall in love why will a more awesome version of you not make them fall in love all over again...

Hey Craig, I've seen your video on THE ANXIOUS-AVOIDANT TRAP, and at the time, I thought my ex was avoidant. Now, I suspect that she might actually have an anxious attachment style, like me. I'm not an expert, but either way, I think people could benefit from a video over what an ANXIOUS-ANXIOUS RELATIONSHIP looks like. Looking back on my relationship, the word CODEPENDENT came up during serious conversations multiple times throughout the nearly 3 years we dated. So I didn’t leave and I should have because I did a lot for him. I have an anxious attachment style so my boundaries weren’t there, and looking back there were signs. When I entered the relationship my confidence and joy was a 9 out of 10. When we broke up it was 0. Literally 0 - he made me feel so terrible. Should have left when he was depressed, and said f@$k it. Live and learn. I’m not only working on myself but standing firm on not dating until I’m self sufficient bc I would get easily distracted. Never ever again will I not live my own life and take care of myself while in a relationship. He broke up with me last Monday, we left on good terms and I texted him only twice: The first time telling him he should give me back the keys and he can put them in my mailbox. The second time was a day later telling him I have put his stuff downstairs, the keys are in the mailbox and he should get it as soon as possible. It doesn't hurt as much anymore, I just feel very empty now and I miss him a lot but I try my best with just moving on and working on myself. I also know for a fact (since my flatmate is friends with him) that he isn't doing much better than me. So there is that I guess

We didnt break up completely and our space was for him to find himself, prioritise his kids, and juggle ridiculous work hours. I treat this space as a "break up" because I dont know if he wants to come back or not. 3 weeks NC and the days where its hard hit HARD. Things changed so quickly and I thought I was doing the right things, but I feel so depressed when it hits because weve been dealing with each other all year and dated for 2 years a few years ago and thought this time we were on the right path. Her life changed with work, now school, and has medical/hormonal issues due to a medicine she's on. She said that despite all that they she doesnt feel like she doesnt want us anymore. And while Im ok with failure in a relationship, this feels off, hurtful, and sudden esp since Ive been giving her space/room to deal with her shifting life.

James. I’m sorry man. I’m on month two. The anxiety, worry, and fear was and is REAL at times. Please give yourself permission to reach out to friends, journal, talk about your thoughts with people, do whatever can help you feel better for at least a few minutes at a time. Anything except reaching out to her. She will reach out and when she does, breathe, and respond with confidence, kindness, and without chasing or being needy. Something that might help is if you imagine that every time that you have that urge to reach out to her and you choose not to, that adds a little bit of attraction energy back to her side of things pushing her to reach out to you. You’re not ignoring or repressing desires or thoughts, your shifting energy.

I think about her every single day. I feel like its almost unhealthy lol. We broke up last Nov. She left me for another man who got her pregnant and is taking care of her. She hasnt reached out to me in like 4 months now. Her and I were together for 5 years. I still struggle emotionally due to her absence in my life, although it would be painful to have her bread crumb me especially that she has a baby with the guy she left me for. No contact will not work if the dumpers reached the point they don't care anymore, if we treated them badly, took for granted, ruined trust etc. No contact and distance will help them to see us for who we are and it's not a good picture. They may miss good times but they'll never forget the bad parts. I have a friend who broke up with his gf who treated him badly, he never looked back, to these days( 2 years after the breakup) he feels relieved not to be around her. So there are situations where NC won't work at all.

Hi Craig my girlfriend and I broke up at the beginning of July, I think it was a ling time coming as my communication skills really went to sh1t over the past year, this as well as her kissing another guy in January. Hey buddy :) I was reading up on your story and my advice for you is to not apologize because it seems to me that you haven’t done anything wrong and that’s just going to make her uncomfortable and it might make her feel like she’ll have to also apologize when she’s not ready to do so , I wouldn’t mention anything about the relationship, If you’re still interested in her you should show her that you’ve really changed and have worked on yourself nothing is more attractive Than confidence , be confident to the unknown don’t question her , don’t answer questions she doesn’t ask , instead meet her up on Wednesday and be the best version that you can be it’ll make you feel good about yourself when we feel good we make other people want to be around us and if you don’t attract your ex you can attract someone just as good or even better , when you meet up with her on Wednesday don’t head over there with the intention of getting her back instead be that genuine person she originally fell for , instead focus on having a Good time, talk about every other thing except your relationship I promise you it will make her melt :) good luck buddy 🍀
