The key is to give space, be respectful and think about their feelings, and not yours. It's actually a good lesson. Sometimes the breakup is 100% due to clingeness. The life is not only relationship. Focus on other parts, and try to balance everything. We normally suffer when we put the relationship in the center of our lives, that also leads to breakup.

After five months apart, I am back together with my ex. To everyone who wants to get back together, don't give up. Coach Craig's advice is so important. For men, not losing emotional self control is critical as is not chasing a woman who has rejected you, and letting her come to you. I had to make some adjustments to the principles because my woman is from SE Asia and her culture is very different from ours in the west. But essentially they do work. I was in a three year LDR before the roof fell in last November much to my surprise of course. Guys rarely see it coming. So thanks Coach Craig. It feels good to feel happy again.

My “ex” called me after I asked him to come back from his friends to the apartment we live at to help me clean. It was actually the new girl who answered. She picked up, said “this is [my exes] gf. I don’t want any problems but he’ll be home to help pick up later” I said “ ok, bye”. Later I made the mistake to plead at him “why did you move on after 3 days” “did you ever love me” “did you use me the way you are this girl (he borrowed from her to pay me off)” etc. that was 3 days ago. I’m still a wreck. All I knew is that he broke up with me, and that he was staying at a friends... then he posted on Snapchat pics of them, then the call. I assumed the Snapchat was a new friend. I had such disbelief he’d move on that quick, but obviously he’s trash and as Taylor Swift would say “we are never getting back together”. He blindsided me so bad, it was horrible.

But after thinking about what you said, I stopped crying and I felt better. My bf broke up with me a bit over a week ago and I’ve been trying to get him back by contacting him and promising to make things better and work on myself. But my constant reaching out to him made things worse. I am taking your advice and I will try to accept the break up even thought it hurts. I hope it is not too late. I also realized that constantly promising to make things better and work on myself is not going to help. He doesn’t need promises. He wants to SEE the improvement. So I will stop contacting him, use the time to work on myself and hope that he will reach out to me soon.

After that he kept promising me to work things out and got my hopes up, but would change his mind all the time. I realized that everything happened on his premises only... I also saw him on the street holding hands with another girl less than a week after he invited me home for sex. This behavior from him really messed me up... it was also the hardest heart break I’ve ever experienced. I feel like he was playing with my feelings. I now go to therapy because his behavior affected me so much.

Coach Craig's advice was super on point! I did the no contact rule to a T and completely cut off all contact. In 4 months, my ex came back saying he missed me and couldn't bear to be another day without me. This period also helped me improve my self value and made me realize everything Coach Craig said was ideal to get me to this great place. Even if no contact doesn't result in getting your ex back, at least you keep your dignity. Plus, to be honest, it's better to just move on from that person. If they dumped you that means they were okay with you meeting someone else and never getting you back. Let that sink in. Plus, who knows what they did while you were apart. Pretty good chance they hooked up with someone else. That innocent trust will never be there again. Let them go...there are so many other people out there that won't do that to you, will value you, and you can experience a new love.

Just broke up with my girlfriend after 2 years + . I feel broken. I need to put focus on my self and so does she. I wish this wouldn't be true, wish we could get back together because we do love each other very much, it took us 5 hours to decide that we were both crying and wouldn't let go of each other. but deep down inside we know we are not good for each other at the moment.. I hope things will be better, either if we get back together or not.. just hope things will be better by days passing. Yeah I will do NC rule because I believe in it's pros of self healing, not just to make her "jealous" or something because I don't care if she is. And I think she will do the NC too because she knows she hurt me and she need to improve her self too. I love her, and I wish her the best in the world. I had so much fun hugging her and stroking her hair when she felt down. I so miss these moments when I protected her from her bad moments. I do hope we will find our way back together because I think that despite our issues, we did care a lot for each other. but truth to be told : I know I can't relay on that "hope", I need to move on but it's so hard, I just wanna be vanished from the world right now and stop feeling. hope to be better soon asap.

The way Craig teaches no contact here is the ONLY real way to do no contact. It means you're ex never ever hears from you again for any reason possible. You have to absolutely go stone cold silent and make them feel a sense of loss or you don't stand a real good chance of reconnecting with them. Don't listen to the "30 day no contact" coaches out there that teach you to keep chasing your ex like that. I have rarely seen that work in the way people wanted it to.
@deemays128 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I did the 30 day no contact, texted her, and got nothing.
@jackbravo21728 жыл бұрын
dayum12 Yeah, you're results are typical of what happens when people try the 30 day no contact method cause there's usually a very good reason why you always have to be the one initiating the contact in these cases cause the ex is probably dating someone new and or they are still pissed at you, so I have never struck to a certain amount of time of no contact, then started contacting them and that's why this is the better way of doing it.
@deemays128 жыл бұрын
Jack Bravo Yeah I agree. I try not to assume anything negative as that doesn't help me as a person with anxiety. She could be dating someone else or she probably isn't. I know I can't even think about dating someone else at this point. She still has our photos on her Facebook account. I'm not going to call again unless she does.
@jackbravo21728 жыл бұрын
dayum12 Yeah man, that's the best thing to do right now cause any further contact by you just places her more in the power position and she can treat you any way she wants but I can tell you, there's been many cases where the person that got dumped eventually was moving on and that's when the ex reappears, I had ex's want to come back later and I was not in that same emotional stare of needing them anymore, so I know this from experience and I can vouch for how Craig teaches, even I just found his video's last night, he teaches you the correct way.

I almost lost it when you began talking about, "...not wanting to be in a relationship 'RIGHT NOW'". I figured she lost attraction to me, but she said that, "everything seemed to be so undecided about what we wanted." She also told me that she didnt have the time or energy to be in a relationship. I've lost about 12 pounds in the last months from the anxiety and struggle of this. Going to try the NC, because we are a part of the same group of friends. To anyone going through this, please be strong. If I can't, you need to.

@@ryanchaney94 You do not want them back.... ever. Who I was at that time doesn't exist anymore. After a while, you begin to understand why NC is important for combating emotional instability. When my brain started easing away from the trauma, the logical side of me started piece together all of the things that happened. All the bad traits you chose to ignore scream at you once more. ... except now there isn't a person there to "let it go" for anymore. With the help of videos like this, and others from various channels, the pain will subside. The memories will never cease, but this is your process. So, it worked out in my own way. One thing I saw not covered here is what to do when they reach out and won’t make dates to come to your place - after they reach out twice and won’t commit to a date you must stop asking them. At this point they must be the ones to bring it up. If after 2-3 messages back and forth and they haven’t asked you then you must tell them you are busy and you have other things to do. If they do finally bring up making a date make 3 consecutive dates at your place and let them do 100% of the contacting and pursuing until they bring up that they are ready for something more.

Success story here!! My ex bf and I are back together. We were broken up for a little over a month. He said he still loves me and everyday he thought of me and everything made him think of me. I was in NC for about 25 days until I reached out about money I needed from him for concert tickets I still had. He sent over the money and we had very sporadic and random chill conversations every other day for about a week. I really felt like he only replied to my texts to be polite because we didn’t really end on bad terms. His replies were casual and seemed apathetic. So finally I asked an open ended question and asked how he was doing. Then we had a whole day of good conversation then that same day he asked me out to get boba. That same night but he said he was scared that I was going to move on and had to tell me he still loves me and missed everything about me. We both agreed to work on ourselves and push each other to be our best and be a strong couple. I said we can take it slowly and I’m open to it. But ultimately I told him I loved him still too!

Craig you are the most amazing therapist and coach I've ever listened to. I'm a 43-year-old male and I thought I knew everything about relationships and break ups. Boy was I wrong after listening to you. I just ended a three-year engagement three days ago because she moved in some guy she works with into her house to rent out a room. Next thing you know they're texting each other all the time and deleting all the text messages so I can't read them. I'm very hurt right now and lost emotionally. I've been searching the last two days for someone to help me with some great advice. You are way beyond the most knowledgeable person I could imagine to come across. You are a godsend and I am very very thankful to come across you. I'm looking forward to doing a one on one coaching session in the next couple days.

This is a great video. My story is that I felt my boyfriend who I was in a Long Distance Relationship with didn't value me, didn't give me the attention I longed for. He had been distant and always on social media. We had been together for a while and he told me he had childhood issues that he had never been able to get over. He lacked emotional skills, could not give affection or love. Yesterday he called me and wondered why I was being distant. I point blank asked him how he felt about me and he got upset saying how women always want something. I didn't argue or raise my voice but it was clear that he was not happy that I asked him that question which he never answered. I never intended to break up with him because I love him. One thing lead to another and I told him maybe it was time to let go. He agreed and we left it at that. I was so beside myself like what just happened here? I have not contacted him because I'm the confident one but this breakup really gave me anxiety issues. I fear I may have lost him. I just wanted to do the 'let go' thing as other coaches have recommended to make him realize what he lost and beg to me to come back. That isn't happening and I miss him so much. I don't want to reach out to him because I don't want him to settle back to himself again. He'll have the upper hand and keep things the way they have been which is not what I want. I want him to tell me he loves me and how much he misses me. Why does it have to be so difficult?

Since in hadn't heard from her, I mailed her a letter one month later, not asking for her back, more just to say that now I need to move on, goodbye, and hopefully in the future we can have some form of friendly relationship. I wrote the letter not expecting a reply. Didn't have time for "a calm talk"the day I moved out. I probably shouldn't have sent her anything, but after sending the letter, I have sworn to myself to NEVER contact her again. I have done what I can.

She actually broke up with me twice but I didnt go no contact..on the contrary 3. When she got indifferent and started avoiding me with no contact, I got separation anxiety and proceeded to plead and beg with gifts, long texts, letters, invitations 4. Tables turned and she ended up ignoring my feelings because her trust was no more 5. I kept forcing with texts, flowers, letters but she already proceeded to a new rebound relationship and blocked me 6. 40 days of no contact and 5 days before her bday she unblocks me from whatsapp but no comms yet All this because I couldnt shut my mouth Feels like no hope scenario since i did her wrong first and she got her revenge full circle.
