TLDR: I think he’s real, and if you weren’t skeptical too then you don’t understand just how difficult it is to play the drums like this.
I do not care about your opinion but please post it so I can ignore it.

100% real. I was recording drums at that very studio (Edge studios in Macclesfield) a few weeks after the 40 roll session and I asked the engineers who worked with Chris when he was there about whether he used samples, they all said he was completely natty! He's just a MACHINE. It also helps that the people working at the studio are incredible at achieving metal drum tones. Also, I used your 'Loudest in the room' track as my drum reference! :D

Chris is a foot dominant drummer. Not the he doesn’t have awesome hands. He just has a very foot-centric style, so the inconsistency in the rimshots is a testament to the legitimacy of this recording AND the fact that this dude has focused his practice to a razor’s edge for that level of precision.

Another tell he’s real in my opinion is when he plays the faster sections on the kick he really leans in with his hips to get as much power out of the drum as possible. Also the flub you talked about at 25:10 is a flam. He wrote in some kick drum flams. I bought the notation package and he’s talked about doing kick flams in interviews.
