my old boyfriend's dad used to do that. he worked at Best Buy and would dump camcorders, and all kids of stuff in trash, then when they closed and everyone went home, he would swing by and get them. once we had a lot of his stuff at our apt, and got a tip that the cops were coming to check, got the stuff out like 3 hours before they came. i let them in to totally check the place cuz i didnt want them to come back. he ended up getting busted. i forgot how tho? maybe a sting?now that is going to drive me nuts trying to remmber that detail??? FYI, his son, the guy i dated, learned this from daddy dearest and he dumped crab and lobster from Red Lobster while he was a busboy. he never got caught or just didnt do it that much. forgot the details on that too except he never got into trouble. :)

Best Buy date is not an expiration date - It's a suggested date to sell it by, but won't actually expires for awhile after. I always wondered if you buy Storage Units???
@lestranged4 жыл бұрын
I was going to say the same thing. Plus, candy bars and cheese puffs are so processed and have preservatives so they won't go bad instantly on the sell by date. They will just maybe taste slightly stale. But it's not like fresh milk or meat that really turns BAD as in inedible.

I was surprised you were checking dumpsters. But it is definitely fun. Never no what you can find. It’s a challenge. I had a electronic repairs shop. And in 3 years I had accumulated so many electronic goods. Plus I was working from home for 10 years. And fit so many videos n tv’s for spare or repairs. I had over 20 k of parts. I wasn’t well. My brother put everything into the dump. Not thinking all the new parts wer worth a fortune. New buyer for shop wanted it completely empty. So he dumped everything. That was a waste of my life of 20 years. My daughter had cancer. So I had no choise to empty out shop. But it could all be put in a garage. Instead he scrapped it all. Soo many. Electrical goods full working. Very sad. I love ur work. I really enjoin the repairing game. God Bless You All Stay safe n take care.
