I was born and raised in Cork, Ireland. Mum's Irish, but dad's American, so I turned out with an American accent for some reason. I think my developing brain took one look at the Cork accent and was like "...yeah I'm not doing that." 🤣

This is something I've said before, that Ethan is really good at understanding people. He knows how to make each of his friends laugh and alters himself for each of them. His interactions with Mark are different than his interacting with Sean because he knows how to engage with both of them.

I had an Irish neighbor, he was really old. I hung out with him and helped him, he had so many stories. He kept offering me alcohol, but I had to remind him I was too young. I learned a lot, how to understand accents, making traditional foods, and how to speak a little Gaelic. I miss him so much. Not gonna lie, I loved him.🍀🍀

Using Duolingo to learn Irish and I'm heavily comforted by Sean here saying that Ireland has a wacko amount of accents and dialects, you go 5 minutes in one direction and you get a whole different dialect. That makes me feel better with my attempts to learn how to pronounce anything.

He's not wrong. When eef said he was "an eight Irish" I realized I'm the same. A lot of immigrants came from Ireland a few generations ago and I'm sure a lot of people now have Irish in their ancestory

@@cianor Nah, that's only on the phone. In person you have *'the alpha'* who just walks away without saying anything and *'the beta'* who's left standing there. As an Irish person (and no I don't mean my gran's dog's ancestry DNA showed up to be 1/147th Irish. I mean true Irish, born and raised) I can't remember the last time I've said bye to anyone, even before covid. edit: The only exception is when you see someone you haven't seen for a long while (like an old relative) and you know you aren't going to see them again for a good while. In that case you have something like jack said, "Good luck and take care of yourself" To my knowledge and experience this tracks pretty much all of Ireland, though maybe not the 6 counties. Given your account name (which I trust is true) I'd guess you'd agree.

I genuinely loved this! The onscreen chemistry is so great. Just old friends having a laugh. Also, that thing Ethan said at the end about being, "a half an hour in heaven before the devil knows you're dead" is from a legitimate Irish Blessing/Toast. "May your glass be ever full.
