That removing of the bolt & putting it back on took forever , the video was very informative.

I just fixed mine today Im glad it was not my fuel pump but honestly this was a VERY hard job especially is you have a ML 430 and if you a a big guy with big hands like me ,there is NO room behind the engine and very hard to line up the socket with the bolt. It took two people my hands are swollen and have some bruises too , if any one want to know you do NOT need to buy a socket set just to get a E8 , 1/4 will work PERFECTLY I am surprised how people are saying this is a 20 min job, no way unless you really know what you are doing and have done it before and prepared.. this took me two hellish hours, I am so surprised of the location of this sensor being all the bad stuff that happens when it goes out, this was a very frustrating and painfull experience , hope you have small arms and hands . the car runs great again thanks for the video!

Can you tell me how to replace Crank position sensor for 2000 ML430 ? Thx
@daracheng28743 жыл бұрын
and also what's size of the socket..?
@mtebaldi13 жыл бұрын
Mercedes clocks this at .6 that would be about 30 minutes. I'm going to do this and I know it'll take me closer to 1 to 2 hours out side in the hot sun with no lift just a jack with stands and my big bear hands.

@@daracheng2874 The socket is a inverted torq socket E8. CPS looks like in the same position as 2005 behind engine.

This is amazing. I have watched a few other videos and they were no where near as helpful. Superb effort on your part. I loved it that you left in the jiggling about trying to get he bolt out. That tells me it is going to take me 20 minutes just on that bit alone :-)

It would probably be easier and quicker to reach in there with your other hand to stabilize the socket. But he didn't because it would block the camera.

Do you know where a crankshaft sensor is located at on a 06 ML350?
@mtebaldi13 жыл бұрын
One comment here, to make easier to re-install the wheel. Start one lug bolt then rotate the tire 180 degrees that will align the other holes in the rim to the front hub assembly. Works the same on cars/trucks with lug nuts. Just a fyi. Great video on replacing the CPS on 2005 ML.
