You gotta respect Baramos though. Even if he was just a stand-in, he put up quite a fight, and still comes back as an undead at the end.

Thanks for your kind words. The time zone difference always trips me up. This is probably a less interesting video unless you really like old RPGs, and even then the length of the boss fights with a solo party is considerable to where you might just want to skip to the endings themselves. :) Hope you're staying safe!

@scolit Yeah, this is just an old RPG being released on the Switch. I played the first one for the NES as a kid but never got to play the other two. Since I uploaded the end for the Switch versions for the other two I opted to do the same for the third. The actual gameplay is *really* basic by today's standards (the boss fights are just using attack and fullheal pretty much).

I actually got it and I'm at Orochi's cave. Once I get some other games done then I'll go back to finish my solo run especially as I don't think I knew about the post-Zoma stuff or forgot to include it with this video.

I was able to beat Baramos at level 38 in my solo run, the Mask of Implacablility is an irreplaceable item with infinite value in a solo run.

That helmet is really good - I didn't really fool around with it much until later and at that point I was doing fine without it. But it definitely would make a solo run much easier.

It good but ONLY on a solo run since the permanent confusion effect can't be removed unless you UNCURSE it completely destroying it in the process but on a use FULL party run its completely USELESS.

I wonder why you couldn’t get Erdrich’s Shield in the original DQ. The Mirror Shield was the best one in that game.

@@CrankyTemplar oh thanks so much, I just checked it, I think I sold it out xd.... But it's OK as I've learnt that I need to use the sphere of light on zoma, that's why I do so less dmg while fighting zoma. I'll be trying it tmr! Thanks and nice vid!!!

I wish there was a health bar because I've been constantly attacking and using full heal but he wouldn't die.

@@CrankyTemplar 💀I can't beat him then unless he takes more damage from dragons bane which I bought and just closed the game. I'll most likely just focus on staying alive and attacking until I win not focusing on anti that'll demotivate me into dying again.

But at the same TIME Killing any metal slime types solo hero even at lv 40 to hit lv60+ is nearly IMPOSSIBLE you need a critical hit or miss weapon/effect to kill them IF they don't run on its first turns.

If I remember correctly I didn't try fighting metal slimes because of that point.

Except to hit lv 60+ solo from lv 40 it would take too long to gain 20 lvs WITHOUT killing the Metal Slime types. While you COULD try to equip the Spiked armor to damage those that only works IF they use physical hits which they almost NEVER do.

Get the muddy hand guys to summon as many guardians as they can. It may take ages to finish the fight, but you'll have just as much EXP

That's not really worth it since at first those guardian's physical hits could easily do 400+ damage that and if you can't even KILL those Guardians IN 1 hit their no really worth it on the PS4 version I still got more EXP OFF OF the Liquid metal slimes instead. On a SOLO hero run those guardians are even MORE of a pain in the ass to kill then the Metal Slime types.

@@veghesther3204 really? Do you not have a mage or even a sage that can cast overpowering all enemy spells, or even healing spells or buffs? The guardians dealt 100 damage total, even in critical?
