Great video as always 🙂 Can you please also compare all thin beam (22 mm) racquets together such as Gravity, Blade, Prince Phantom etc.
@ER_aka_RAM6 ай бұрын
I demoed both racquets in match play, as well as a Tournament… The Blade 100 is a platform racquet in every aspect. The swing weight of the Speed MP I had received was noticeably higher, but the Blade was pretty much anemic! My friend/opponent noticed I had zero plow with the Blade 100… beautiful racquet, but it needs a lot of customization to make it an advanced 100.

I disagree. My hitting partner said that i had way mpre power and control with blade 100...and hands were much faster with blade as well.
@ER_aka_RAM5 ай бұрын
@@dlw2982 What level are you (and) your hitting partner? I demoed it brand new laced with ALU Power at 53lbs, and my hitting partner is a coach / USTA opponent immediately noticed the lack of plow, etc.. I’m assuming you’re a beginner/intermediate player? It’s a beautifully designed 100, but not for heavy hitters or anyone at 4.0+ … unless you’re just muscling the ball, but that doesn’t last very long.

@@rezaarfianta6807 A pair of customized Blade v9s (18x20 & 16x19). I use a the 18x20 for counterattacking, and defense.. it’s my primary racquet, whereas the 16x19 was setup for clay..more attacking. They share the same specs, so I can rotate between them without having to make adjustments.

Could you compare the Blade 100 with the Blade 100L V9? I think you will find the Blade 100L easier to swing because of the lower static weight of the 100L.

Blade is 330g with a dampener (+3-4g) and overgrip (+4-5g)? If so you're actually pretty much on spec with it too. But at that SW seems it came a bit more head heavy.
@tantennis6 ай бұрын
It’s a Blade 100. Strung weight with dampener and overgrip should be 323g. If it’s Blade 98 then 328-330g is normal.

@@tantennis thanks a lot for the answer! Anyway I would not go over 300gr just not to get tired quickly. Which one do you like the most between Blade 100 and PS100? Are you gonna review Dunlop Cx 400 Tour? Sounds interesting racket on the web. Thanks
@tantennis5 ай бұрын
@@tatovicxcii100 I prefer PSX but it’s 315g anyway. For something below 300g, you can look at Gravity MP, PS97L, Percept 100 or 97L. And you can add leather grip or lead to the handle to make it more headlight.

Nice vid as always. Thanks for sharing. I bought a 2nd 2024 Speed MP as I liked my first so much. Now will be searching for best string setup. I’m not into really stiff or uncomfortable strings. Any ideas for good poly setups and tensions after your play tests with Speed MP 2024?

Not sure if Sync will be too stiff for you. In that case, try Razor soft.

It would have been even better to add the percept 100D into the comparison. I am thinking about buying one of those 3 and today the percept takes the lead, but who knows tomorrow as yesterday was the blade.... I tried the percept 97 and I love it but the sweet spot feels small

Having had both as my main stick, I agree that the speed is a little faster through the air, but not as much as you make it seem when you describe it. Some reasons why I think the speed is faster even at 23mm: - Aerodynamic throat (Blade is squared there) - Blade is foam filled, Speed is not. Beats me why foam filled rackets feel slower tho. - Blade has a much rounder head (Speed is more elongated)
@tantennis6 ай бұрын
Yea it’s not fast compared to other thinner beam frame.

I'm looking for a switch from ezone to one of the 100s possibly percept 100/100d, I tried the previous version of the head speed and I really didnt like slow swing speed and thick beam compared to ezone.
@vaderg52726 ай бұрын
I sold my Ezone 100 and transitioned to Speed MP24. Much better for my game. Ezone100 might have slight edge when it comes to power generation compared to Speed MP24. But in all other areas in my opinion the Speed MP is equivalent or better (equivalent spin, better stability, much better control, much better comfort)

I recently got the 100 v9 and I just can't get the feel down. Was under spec as well at 317 sw. But when I hit with 98 v9 it just felt so much quicker through the air. The 100 didn't bring any of that and it also feels very muted to me. Was getting torched on heavy balls as well. Increasing the sw by 10 pts would be preferred for me but that will require a lot of hoop weight and mess with the balance too much... feel like I'm still searching. And might have to go back to 98s. Short guy 4.0 player a quicker racket seems to feel better for me.
