Fishing in my neck of the woods. I've never used the spider rigs. Looks like it would be easy to get hung up together between the 3 rods. Id like to see you do a video on table rock or bull shoals. Looks like your going to be back on lake of the ozarks in a week or so. Hope you video that trip.

Been making videos on fishing stain water with swimbaits and hand tied jigs. Using LiveScope to run them down and cast to them or 10' jig rod and pitch the bait. Crappie been in the 1 1/2- 2.2 lbs. range. Good fishing trip for ya. FLC

Pitching the jig is what i ended up having to do later in the week (future videos). I think i'm going to start using the 12ft rod for livescope. Thanks for watching!

As someone new to fishing, i want to say thanks for the informative videos. Lived here at lake of the ozarks for most of my life. Subscribed to your channel. Any tips for bank fishing crappie?
@FloppingCrappie4 жыл бұрын
The best time for bank fishing on ozarks is the months of March and April. Crappie will move shallow to spawn. Look for fallen trees close to shore. A good tactic is to tie a 1/16oz jig with a plastic about a foot under a float. Cast along the shorelines when the water temps are between 50-60s.

what generation is your humminbird? I have Helix 10, but its Gen1, and i never see these white dots on my side imaging that I see in your videos and videos of other people. Ur unit seems old but u can still see them just fine..
@FloppingCrappie4 жыл бұрын
I have a first generation helix 9. The white dots or small lines show up well against a soft bottom like mud or mud.

How far are you running up the Osage, or do you think any creek arm would be similar up there?
@FloppingCrappie4 жыл бұрын
There were specific creek arms that held bigger fish, i can't give out specific feeder creeks because I got most of the info from locals. If you have side imaging you will be able to see crappie in almost of the creek channels. with a little practice you will be able to tell the difference between the small and big crappie.

None of my business, but how can you spend so much time on the water? Don't you have to work? Also, I enjoy your Wisconsin videos much more because that is the only state I fish in. But I do enjoy all your videos. Thanks

I'm fortunate enough to have a good number of vacation days at my real job. I burn most of those vacation days in the late winter/early spring to go on these trips. The rest of the year I only fish week nights or on weekends. I'm going out this weekend in Wisconsin, thinking about fishing the Mississippi river.

Good stuff my man!! I will be fishing Stockton crappies this weekend and then High School Bass tourney on LOZ next weekend.
