Dear Mr. Gene. I’ve been watching you for years and just love your great work. Recently I was ‘bragging you up’ to my brother, a natural cynic, who doesn’t believe that you can catch crappie anywhere, anytime! In fact, I took my confidence in you so far as to accept a full-on bet with him that you could indeed catch crappie in the northern waters. You bet I did. It’s like I told him, if anybody in the world can catch a crappie in the gulf of Alaska, it’s going to be Mr. Gene, the fishing machine.
