Crappie Fishing the river/lake Lake Talquin That is. Florida was the state Crappie were the target. I took off to this lake for the first time to help a subscriber locate fish because he had made a comment that it just wasn't happening there. The first day i rode around learning lake an rivers and mainly wind direction. The second day i had a plan. i took off to the main river then left an hit the little river when sun started shining The water temps were up in the little river an the fish were chewing. This lake is being well maintained an regulated The big thanks to florida fish an game and also the Anglers that catch an release fish. This is why the lakes so much fun to fish. I miss fishing that river. My friend Chris and I fished that river almost every Sunday morning. Bass, gills & cat fish. Frog gigging and just some plain old fun. He passes in an untimely car wreck some years ago. RIP buddy!!

Running a Minn Kota and garmin up front also have hummingbird an lowrance on the xpress. Just depends on what type of fishing an where I’m fishing. Here lately just have the garmins hooked up

Them lake talquin videos show my 3 colors that I use there. If I had to pick just one an fish it I’d come with just my ghost an Wrk em over but anything with a little blue green in it will work. You said it right, TALlahassee + QUINcy = Talquin. Little river is a good place to catch some bream as well. On the other side of Leon county are two grass prairie lakes named Miccosukee and Iammonia both are known for HUGE crappie!

You’d thought I would’ve mentioned it. I must’ve edited it out by accident. Pops crappie jig 1/8 hair jig. 10ft 12 ft jigging pole 10 lb test line. That’s it. No spray no minnows. Simple. I love keeping it simple. Thanks for watching. We appreciate the comments. The next few videos will explain better an I’ll also be switching up my tactic to catching these crappie. They change up their pattern an I happen to be there when they do an i had some fun with them.

No I wanted to go in there but I fished all that on outside of it. I got a video waiting to download that shows you all the fish in that one spot if it’ll finish up. I told a buddy I was gonna go back next week an I was going straight there to check it out. Next week with them warm days you got. Them big males will probably start making beds up at the bank. The fishing there is about to get really good. It’s already good but it’s about to get real In That river. I’ve never seen so many fish in a river like that. It’s unbelievable at the fish in There.

Them fish are stacked all up In there. Go past the tree laying almost cross the water then start fishing. You’ll know the tree. Grass should be hung up in that tree an there was fish up in there but go on up a little. The video should post in a hr are so. Go to that grass bed an getcha some of that.
