Crash Bandicoot was my first ever video game, I loved playing it. When I got diabetes and met my best friend, who had cancer, we would play it all day in her hospital room. I need to find this again, sadly, she died five years ago, but Crash always helps keep her with me, especially Tornado Alley which was our favorite level.

Im a dad. Bed bound recovering from surgery. In pain and a bit depressed. Somehow saw this and started watching. Got this for my kids when it came out in 2001. Recently divorced then so our time together was like solid gold and precious!! They liked to play this at night with me. Seeing this again and reliving those memories after 23 years is very healing!! This dude is doing such a great job of going through it without playing. Makes for an amazing experience. Thanks for the memories!!!

Those long loading screen was Traveller Tales fault. Apparently, Namco wanted to add a minigame on the loading screen where player could collect wumpas to spent their times but Traveller Tales deleted the code of the minigame without any agreement from Namco and forgot to delete the loading part

Original releases had longer loading screens because there was originally supposed to be a minigame there, but they had to cut it last minute after they found out Namco had a patent on that which prevented them from adding it ( Poke said this earlier but he got it a bit wrong ) , they didn't get to clean up the code though so the loading screens were long because of that. On re-releases like the Platinum or Greatest hits versions that came after they cut it down alot

i remember playing this game with my dad when i was like 9-10 years old. I'm 23 now god time flies fast. I don't remember if it was this crash bandicoot or some else, but it had a stage with some kind of water monster and when i finally beat it and told my dad he almost couldn't believe me at first. I felt like a real mvp😂

How much this fandom loves twinsanity's mediocrity is not only weird but subjective; however, saying its one of the best game is just false as it has way too many flaws to be considered this amazing crash game. This unfinished rushed game can't ever compete with Crash 2 or 3. Maybe if a lot of cut content made it to the game it would but not as it is now. The gameplay and level design is very plain compared to crash 2 & 3 imo. Even crash 1's gameplay & level design felt more polished.

One of the reasons I loved this was because, in addition to some i teresting worlds, this was the first adventure game you could full control Coco, despite her moveset being kinda weird lol. I don't think I ever used that sweep move, and she couldn't double-jump. But it was mostly cause I love Crash lol

I always thought of this game as a soft remaster of Warped (a PS2 version) but with its own story. I personally enjoyed it and I know of a lot of people who, for them, this was their first game. Sure it didn’t measure up to the originals (Crash 2 is my favourite!), but it’s still a pretty good game.

There was at least one that was missed because he didn't have the right colored gem to access it when he encountered the branch in the path the first time. I think it was in Warp Room 2? If not 3. Edit: I stand corrected unless there are more. It was in WR1 at around 1:49:45
