Glad you’re ok. Its seems to be crash week on my you tube feed. Watching you trying to walk across revealed just how slippery it really was.

Thanks, it was like riding on ice

@5:45 that's my ride all day every day in the Texas Panhandle. I hate the wind so much!

Man that wind was rough!!! Especially when a big rig passes by.

Yeah, we camped some (when I could talk Jake into it)

I’ve been on several road trips and have brought all my camping equipment only to end up camping twice in a 10 day period. So the last trip I just left the stuff at home and had way more room. In my experience, when camping , it takes a long time to setup and break down the camping gear, when you could be on the road. Also unless you reserve a spot, there might not be anything available and some places are only first come first serve. I ride to ride, not camp. Everyone has their reasons to choose between riding or camping or both. Love your videos! Cheers! Since on the subject, could someone ride the TAT without having to camp?

Definitely nothing you could have done once the back started coming around... we get a lot of that here in the northeast so any water crossing makes me nervous (especially one that's smooth like that). With rocks you have some mechanical binding, but on concrete like that there's nothing to stop you. Somebody should do a video on how to cross those... I see a lot of normal stream crossing videos (where rocks can be slick) but these concrete crossings can be MUCH worse.

You are exactly right, I would much rather do a rocky crossing than a smooth concrete one. I went across before Jake and I think the key was to have just enough speed to make it across without needing any throttle, pull in the clutch, keep the bike perfectly strait, and hope you don’t hit a ridge or bump
