Considering the Honda Jazz hasn't received major structural updates since 2015, it is commendable to see it score 4 stars with more than 6 years old tech. It strengthens my decision of choosing Jazz back in 2015 over its competitors. The product is really good with minimal rusting and niggles. I simply wish the service centers were 10% as good!

4th Gen Honda City and Jazz scored 4 star in Global Ncap crash test..It was indeed a surprise for us today because no one expected City to be tested by GNCAP..But they should have tested 5th gen considering its a latest gen.. It proved that Honda never compramise on built quality,safety like kia and hyundai.. Dont know why they haven't done side impact test to get 5 star,I think may be because of Honda didnt sponsored the test..GNCAP themselves bought City and jazz and tested it..If any company sponsor's the test,they send 2-3 cars..one for frontal test,one for side impact test etc Although 4th gen City's Structural integrity,foot well is unstable where Jazz's is stable,It is disappointing considering the price of city Jazz performed really well,it scored 13.89 star for adult occupants better than VW Polo(12.54) and missed 5 star by only 0.11 points.. It shows that Japanese cars are safer than Germans in crash..that door thud doesn't,door,bonnet heaviness doesn't matter Talking about 5th gen City,I think it will definitely score 5 star because of 1. 4 Airbags 2. ESP/VSA 3. 3 Point seatbelts and head restraints 4. Isofix child seat mounts 5. Neck impact injury mitigating front seat head restraints 6. Honda has reworked on 4th gen's platform to make it more rigid by adding more ultra high tensile strength steel with Super high formability 980Mpa grade steel and improved frontal torsional rigidity..I hope it will be enough to make structural integrity stable.. 7. Thailand's version of 5th gen City scored 5 star in asean ncap so from this crash test it is clear that they haven't cut corners in indian variant so if 5th gen tested then it will definitely score 5 Star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Hope GNCAP will test 5th gen city in Next rounds of crash test 🤞🏻

Apart from Maruti, I believe Hyundai and Kia will also fair poorly. These brands should learn from Tata and Mahindra. More and more people are considering safety a prime aspect in their car selection and every car big or small must at least be 4 star rated in safety as per GNCAP. This should be made a law in India.

Commendable job by Honda and Renault and Nissan for their performance. The one point I would like manufacturers to put attention to is on child safety here the City did well. Hope to see Tata Harrier/Safari, Updated Baleno, Skoda Kushaq and Slavia, VW Taigun (These tests have shown that same platform does not mean identical scores), 5th gen City, i20 and Sonet to be tested. Also hope the cars already tested are sent again to be tested under the new norms.

Global ncap is a scam. It is a non profitable organisation based on uk which tests only indian and African cars. It doesn't have euroncap standards. The ratings are used to trick indian customers.

Bro, ideally one should cruise in highways at 80 and 100 kmph in expressways. Unfortunately we drive in 110 in highways and 130-140 in expressways. Soon enough there will be cameras/speed guns on highways.. Maybe then accidents will come down. Also, ppl at 80kmph wud be much safer in a 4 star rated car than in a 2 star rated car..
