Renault Kiger achieves four stars for adult and two stars for child occupant protection

The Renault Kiger, which shares platform with the Nissan Magnite, achieved four stars for adult and two stars for child occupant protection. The Kiger was tested in its most basic safety spec fitted with two frontal airbags and ABS. During the assessment it showed an unstable structure and marginal protection to the driver’s chest. The model offers ISOFIX anchorages but they are not visible to the consumer, they were covered by the seat fabric. This model is offered with a lap-belt in the rear centre seat, without ESC and side head impact protection as standard.

This car really deserves more than this, i had a collision with Volvo bus from back due to sudden power brake and anyhow i managed to twist on the left but it was too late, i crushed with the rear left side of Volvo with my kiger front right side at around 60km/hr, still I didn't suffer a single would. I salute Renault for its superior built quality

Both renault kiger and magnite are best in the segment for features, safety and value... After nexon and xuv300, these two are safest with brezza also getting 4 stars... But the price of these two make it highly desirable... Problem is, they need to update it.. Volkswagen and skoda are bringing their 4m car and those will have better built and skoda has promised better features than kushaq...

This rating is just for base variant. Most bought variants of this car RXT and RXZ has 4 air bags, which will further enhance the safety of car. Great job Renault India.

@@973sss i believes thats not possible since they should get rights from the brand to use their names and models in public forums. Before they do test, many papers would be signed regarding brand, model name usages. Since it affects their sales and quality of the brand directly

Bcoz every car manufacturers also have their own inhouse crash & strength quality check facilities..... So they knows that how much strength in that model...... Many models are top selling.....then how any company send themselves after knowing it's build quality....& ready to take a risk low sales..??

@@973sss ncap signs the agreement if the car has been tested they will release the result no matter what. So the manufacturer believes that their car should performs well. But unfortunately that wont happen in everycase. Still u have a doubt, tweet them about ur doubt they will clarify this

Renault kiger has got 4 stars only because of its 1000 kg kerb weight and 1140 kg weight while doing crash test whereas in case of Kia Carens its weight was 1650 kg while doing crash test and thats why it has got damaged with A pillar flexed
