@freetobe39 жыл бұрын
+TechMaster+ RAM does make a difference but not a huge one unless your pc is bottlenecked. When my Macbook Pro (2011,intel i5, iGPU HD 3000) went from 4gb to 16gb of RAM the fps performance increased by 10-20 fps depending on the game. Minecraft saw an extra 20 fps in most scenarios and Battlefield 2 never dipped under 70fps unless I had anti aliasing turned on(with 4gb it would be similar I guess) and GMod 13 runs at ~60 fps with near maximum settings(didn't have a point of reference with 4gb). FSX will run decently with 4gb but 16 gives a huge kick(extra 10-15 fps on low/medium). Don't expect RAM to be a pc's redemption though.
@pressstart14905 жыл бұрын
You have both games open running at good fps? Impressive
@texemplarstudios54815 жыл бұрын
Well, they're both on low. I was quite surprised with how well they ran too considering how bad the laptop was (The specs are in the description). I did another crash testing video once I built a better computer - it can run them together at 60FPS at max settings (This computer was only about 20). However, I only ran one at a time so that you could see more of the screen.

I think in this vid the actual crash graphics were a BIT better in RoR, but the overall graphics and sfx were better in BeamNG. Plus there was a frequent upd8 in BMNG. so its even better :D

Yep, I do appreciate how BeamNG autoupdates frequently! I do use both, and I also do miss RoR's Multiplayer

the only problem with beamng drive is that the water doesn't react the way it's supposed to. Maybe they could combine the fluids simulator and beamng drive to make the water WORK.
@texemplarstudios54818 жыл бұрын
+Justin Zigler At least for cars, the water is really realistic! Have you tried the ETK driver experience center?

I like BeamNG, but if you have a laggy pc like me, I'd choose rigs of rods.
@4x4convoy8 жыл бұрын
For those of you who are saying that beamng.drive is better, you have to realize that rigs of rods came first. The developers who made rigs of rods abandoned it because they wanted to make a game that was payed for because they got tired of working for free. So of course beamng.drive is going to be "better", they have a reason to work on and for the game. That's also why almost everything is pretty much the same between the two games, because they are practically the same game, just the looks are different
@texemplarstudios54818 жыл бұрын
+Low and Slow Editz Well, the mods are also way better and quality checked. There are way more features, the maps are higher quality, and so on. Rigs of rods is free, and is pretty much a version of BeamNG of lesser quality. I am not saying it as bad, though, because for a price $0.00 it is great!

Yes. I do have a video about BeamNG vs. Next Car Game if you want to see it too. Next Car Game is made by Bug Bear.

@Owiko78 жыл бұрын
Cole Jackson Did you ask any of them? no? then you cannot say that. I am right.
@colejackson63968 жыл бұрын
Actually, I did ask. I asked Kamil, the poor man (or woman) from the Support Center at BeamNG. He/she said NO
@Owiko78 жыл бұрын
Cole Jackson They take on average 24 hours to respond, so I find it highly unlikely that you even got a response, let alone that you even asked it. I also told you to ask the creators of the game Not the support center. Therefore I remain correct, some of the creators of Rigs of rods are on the production team of Beam ng drive. its a simple fact, I don't understand why you are so opposed to that fact though.
@imehandle8 жыл бұрын
Rigs of rods was written by the same person who wrote the BeamNG and he said engine written for BeamNG is like 10x better, more efficient and more realistic.

Well, that probably was due to the settings being on high or the mods you have. But, if you can run it, I like BeamNG too!
@RavenAii8 жыл бұрын
There is a flaws in the video comparison though, anyone who are professional enough can make a vehicle in Rigs of Rods as good as the ones in BeamNG. The reason why is both trucks are made by the same person but the Gavril truck tested in BeamNG was made years after the Chevrolet truck in Rigs of Rods was made, thus better quality in deformation for Gavril truck. With new DevTeam in RoR I'm positive that they can make the simulator a lot better than before.

I don't hurt the feelings of anyone by saying, BeamNG still reigns superior: they were made by the same devs, I guess RoR was made earlier so they moved on to BeamNG after finding a better engine. But damn, RoR is free? It certainly IS very close to BeamNG.

+Gucio Rysnik Same here. I like both since both have pros and cons. In ROR I love how you can make cars go really fast in the .truck file, but I like BeamNG since it is way closer to real life. Most ROR cars don't even crash. But I think if had to pick one i'd pick BeamNG.

Do you know that Beamng Drive was created by the developers of Rigs of Rods? Yeah it's true.

Like Beamngs 1st Vid, they said "from the makers of rigs and rods"
@YTQA-017 жыл бұрын
Although the damage in Rigs of Rods is a little over sensitive but the way that the cars dent or crumble is much more realistic than BeamNG Drive. However, BeamNG Drive has much better graphics and much better sound effects than Rigs of Rods. Most of the lighting in Rigs of Rods is very dim which makes the car and all of its surroundings seem poorly developed. Between the two simulators, I would go with BeamNG Drive due to its abundance of features and downloadable content.
@texemplarstudios54814 жыл бұрын
BeamNG is far newer so it is a better simulator. Though, there is something about the community, mod pool, and simplicity of Rigs of Rods that makes it awesome as well.
@alaska48338 жыл бұрын
i do belive that these crashes are not comparable for example the last one they were goig two different speeds one was close to 65-73 mph (beamng) but the other was more due to the extent of damge. the truck had the drivers side crushe due to lift on the back end of the truck and make the force greater then a 65-73 mph crash you must have each test at the same speed to give any really data the could prove one is better than the other.
@texemplarstudios54818 жыл бұрын
I tried to keep the speeds as close as possible, but there is no way to use a "cruise control" function. It is kind of hard on a keyboard.
