So i had a potato laptop once and I was like "hmmmmmm, I’m gonna download beamng drive!!!" LITERALLY 40 GIGABYTES!!! It was laggy but I put the settings down and it was good. Then once I trying to play and it said there are 5 dangerous viruses and I was like huh so after that, beamng didn’t work it just wouldn’t work. Rigs of rods did work though and I was happy.

BeamNG is the successor to Rigs of Rods using the same tech in an updated framework so its unsurprising that the results are nearly identical. People here claiming this is what you got in 2005 though obviously havent experienced it around then when the car models had very few nodes and were rather low poly and deformed rather stiffly.

Beamng is way better because in rigs of rods the trucks are indestructible but in beamng the trucks have detachable parts and deformation

I know I'm 6 years late but I like to think of it as RoR is very impressive even today but is just a physics simulations. As to where now Beam is a physics simulation and for the most part a slightly more polished state but it's also more of a game than RoR due to its career, scenarios, races, etc. Also great video!

BeamNG has had many updates since this video was made, now you can simply press CTRL+E to load in a new car and add the “AI Control” app from the game’s app manager!

Hi Texemplar Studios, Can Mac OS X 10.5.8 run older software with no issues? I don't want subscription based software = ripoff by greedy companies. I'm confused by your review because you say "Productivity Suites" run fine but not programs and you just tested Java. I'd appreciate the clarification. Thank you

Older software (from around 2007-2009) should run perfectly fine as that was when OS X Leopard was the latest version of OS X/macOS. The further forward you go in time from 2009, the less likely your program is to work. I agree I definitely should have tested more applications! Thanks for your comment and for your feedback.

I downgraded my mac. I have an Early 2020 Air with an i3, and it ran terribly on Ventura and Sonoma (Beta) so I decided I'll go back to Catalina as it's the macOS Version that it came with. Ever since I've downgraded, it's no longer hot, fan doesn't randomly go off, feels a lot faster/snappier, and the battery lasts much longer. But I miss the look of Big Sur/Monterey/Ventura/Sonoma, so I want to upgrade back to Big Sur, but I wasn't sure, so thanks for making this video.
