New York firefighter Tommy Gavin is a hot mess. He talks to his cousin, Jimmy, who died at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, and he's seeing ghosts of other victims, too. Spotlighting Denis Leary as Gavin, a temperamental alcoholic whose self-destructive behavior has cost him his family, the series revolves around the daily drama associated with being a firefighter in post-9/11 New York, and how the men of 62 Truck use dark humor to color their true feelings.

Rewatching this as a father for the first time. These scenes really hit different when you have kids of your own.

Also crazy how it took the enitre crew to hold Tommy down knowing it was best for him Also kudos to Jerry for recognizing her and immediately taking the steps to control the situation knowing Tommy wouldn't be a fireman in that moment but a distraught and out of control father. And super kudos to Lou for reasoning with him tho lol afterwards the crew had him pinned down

Honestly..What a fuckin show this is.....One of the best TV series made in my opinion. Such a shame not a lot of people know about it. Up there with Sopranos and Breaking Bad

I think he came in in season 4. It was after Jerry ate his gun, and Needles was the new chief. Feinberg was there, too, I think.
