CRASHING my BRAND NEW fpv drone in 5 seconds

As you can tell I am still a beginner lol. A simple mistake put me in a bad spot and caused me to have my worst crash yet! Don't go to hard on me in the comments, hope you enjoy!

If I could give you any advice, it's "when in doubt, DISARM." not "put your goggles on". The fact that you didn't know what was happening with your drone and still chose to full-throttle HAND launch it says something about your need to learn things the hard way. Slow down a bit, pay closer attention, learn your equipment inside and out before showing off and you'll be alright. Glad no one got hurt! 🤙I'm subscribed cause I've gotta see what happens next. 😅

I agree. In this particular situation, cut throttle and let it fall and it might have been a lot less damage. Sorry for your drone but I believe you've definitely learned something.

You probably already know this by now, but the motors on a fpv drone will try to stabilize the quad. You can use things that turn the pid loop off, such as idle up or soft arm with Kiss. Watching you trying to hand launch that drone was scary as these will chew fingers up n spit them out with ease. I just want to see people in fpv be safe and have fun. Great video though man.

dont launch an fpv drone by hand you can actually seriously get injured.. No one does that, I've never once seen an fpv pilot launch one by hand. Dji you can refresh, and you actually can hand launch them, mini2's are like super cheap and it's a lot harder to crash them.

Unfortunate to hear about your drone, def agree it was a good choice to go custom/bnf. Your repair cost is so much lower this way 😂 Hope you get it up and running again soon. I also always shoot my content horizontal since it’s easier to crop vertical than vice versa, unless i know 100% i’m never gonna use it for any horizontal uses. keep up the sick vids! 🤙🏻

you can hammer motors back in shape. I did it several times. One might be surprised how robust the motors are. Mine work with two lost magnets out of 12 with the cost of slight vibration.

Dude... the real lessons are: don't show off, don't hand launch, don't fly so close to people line of sight when you have no idea how to fly LOS, and just disarm if you have no idea what's going on. Could have been so much worse, and will be if you don't take more from this than my switch was wrong, or I stood too close to the tree. You're lucky no one was hurt. Don't endanger your friends like that. You are far too cocky for being 2 months in.

Wow that sound of it smashing into the ground was painful to listen to. Also with the motor shafts that are bent you can fix them there is a good chance you can make it straight again. There is a few good videos on youtube of how to fix the motors it will save you some money!!

Pour one out for the nazgul 5v2. I have hit a lot of stuff with my nazgul and have only broken a motor. You must have hit plaid mode.

Never hand launch period. Flying in public areas such as parks, walking trails etc. is why city ordinances are putting up no Drone flying signs. You better have insurance also. You hit someone not only will you make the 5 o'clock news but you will bring a negative impact to the hobby. Then you will get a court date. KZbin will make you famous and broke by attorneys. Fly in a clear area while you learn, no trees, no people walking their dogs. You are not Alex Vanover!
