Bathurst sure was a fairytale ending for all of us. It hasn't clicked for me that it was his last full time Bathurst run with Richo to be honest. As a long time fan I thought 2006 was the greatest win for him, but now I feel like 2018 could be up there

427camo If I may, Triple 8 were dropped by Ford (as was, for some reason, DJR) in '08 thanks to the economic mess and Holden went to Triple 8, not the other way 'round. Besides, I don't think CL was really involved in that decision.

@@Ward1706 I can tell you the reason Ford dropped Triple 8 and DJR. I wouldn't be surprised if the GFC had some influence, but the reason Ford Australia pulled funding to those 2 teams and only kept funding for Stone Brothers and FPR was because, and I shit you not, Triple 8 and DJR " had too much red and didn't have any blue on their liveries".

Keep your Peter Brock, this guy is our best ever, as a person as well, no hoo hah, no ego just a true gentleman and the complete legend! never heard any background gossip, the comprehensive PROFESSIONAL! Maybe if Brock had done as Craig has here, instead of believing his own press we would still have Brock amongst us? Ya gotta know and admit when its time! TOTAL RESPECT!

100% Wayne. Also, had Brock been racing in the modern era he would not won as much as the cars are more competitive and there are more contenders amongst the drivers. If Craig’s car was on par with Van Gisbergens this year, he would have been vying for win number 8, even after being out of the game and not as fit as he was… King Of The Mountain for me… and you it seems 👍🏻 I reckon we’d have plenty to chat about over a beer or two
